All you do is defend Trump. And the turds you’ve laid out in this thread regarding how these hearings are being conducted are irrelevant, Trump talking points.

Eric Herschmann is as hardcore a Trumper as any. He was one of Trump’s WH lawyers. He says this was a crime, and tells Eastman to lawyer up hard. Then hung up on him.Drak wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 5:13 pm New video from Liz Cheney and the Jan 6th Committee about Thursday’s hearing. False. I’ve backed up the things you’ve said and lied about a fair bit in the past, with links to your posts. There is no point. You’re an attention seeker and no one should be spending time on your bullshit.
You are absolutely parroting RW talking points by crying about how these hearings are produced, which is a known GOP distraction that has nothing to do with anything other than attempting a weak attack on the Committee’s credibility.

This is why I wont address them. They want us dead.Drak wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 6:35 pm False. I’ve backed up the things you’ve said and lied about a fair bit in the past, with links to your posts. You're hung-up on the fact a TV producer is helping with this; get over it. These are public hearings meaning the public has the need to know what the Committee has/is finding out. You're just upset because the Committee is doing a professional job as opposed to the Benghazi hearings.

Can you IMAGINE how messed up board con's kitchen ceiling would be with his brains exploding from RAGE if Obama or Hillary bilked a quarter of a billion from supporters while committing a felony? Board con would LOSE HIS MIND.Number6 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 7:05 pm You're hung-up on the fact a TV producer is helping with this; get over it. What does con do? Criticizes the committee for doing TOO good of a job. These cons are traitors.

The reality is that TV producers and IT departments are as much a part of modern life as truck drivers, plumbers, and farm workers. It's a mediated society. It's how we live. Accept it, and you'll be a lot happier.
Obviously, given my line of work, I'm not going to lose sleep over the idea that visuals are being overseen by professionals in the field of getting same from the event scene to the mass audience. Everything on CSPAN is through cameras. They are sometimes automated, but they are still mediated by directors, gaffers, grips, runners, line producers, and many others. Multiply this by two or three for the big networks or even the streamers.

A peaceful transition of power is not in the Constitution. And yet it's one of two things we have always had faith in. Losing that faith in the peaceful transition of power, imo, will eventually be the end of U.S.. It may not be a crime, but it should be. Trump is ripping apart the very fabric that has barely kept us going for this long. There oughta be a law.The peaceful transition of power is a central tenet of American democracy. It has long been a point of pride for this nation that even in times of deep political strife the sitting president accepts the election of a new leader, and, if abashedly, steps down without protest.
"It's a time of grieving right now," Linda feels, "Grieving is necessary because we have forever lost our claim to a peaceful transfer of power during an election. That's forever. Now, maybe that'll make us more humble about what's required to do that, and more protective of our electoral process, more indulgent to our fellow citizens, because all we have to do is look around the world and see where those kinds of challenges happen and what the consequences are…now we've been given a taste of that medicine and, instead of bragging about it, will be servants to it.”

There is a process in place whereby a candidate can challenge the result and there is always the courts. It’s an established legal constitutional process. The problem is that there is no reasonable amount of time available to build a case between Election Day and inauguration. That’s precisely why we need control processes in place ahead of time to insure everyone that the vote is accurate. Changing the rules outside the legislative process in the state will do nothing but cast doubt on the results. That’s part of what happened in 2020. Maybe it was unavoidable due the the circumstances and the pandemic.bradman wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 1:41 pm https://www.nhpr.org/politics/2021-01-1 ... -important

That being said. I agree with you 100% that those people who serve or seek to serve should be prepared to accept the results. Take all the legal options to make sure votes are counted (recounts, etc) but the most important thing we have going for us is faith in the electoral process. It’s bigger than any one individual and their personal ego. Trump did more damage to the office and the credibility of government institutions than he can possibly repair. He doesn’t deserve and IMO never did deserve the office.
I also agree with BD. Was it a crime? From a legal perspective, maybe. The process will have to work its will. From an ethical/moral perspective, he’s a selfish piece of shit.

Was it a crime, maybe? Sorry, an attempted coup is not legal. This was a planned violent insurrection. The cons here have been trying to cover and bury what happened from the start. And not one of them has followed it.

The committee is now exposing republican members of congress like Barry Loudermik, who has continually lied about giving reconnaissance tours to MAGA insurrectionists just before Jan 6.
Insurrectionsts on his tour took pictures of key locations, staircases and tunnels before the attack.
Some examples. Taking pictures of seemingly unremarkable areas. Something “tourists” don’t typically do.

Re: January 6 hearings...
From who? HRC? HRC who conceded ASAP? From Jill Stein? Jill Stein who's a Putin Puppet and a member of the green party, not the Democratic Party? Are you referring to a couple of people in the party and some people on a message board? Did the majority of the Dems in congress attempt to overturn the election like the Republicans did? Did the majority of dems start pushing the big lie and attempt countless court cases? Did the Dems arrange to storm the Capital and attempt a coup, led by HRC after HRC lost? Do you ever grow tired of being a complete idiot? Whatever it takes to protect your feelings and guard yourself from reality, like a cultist fanboy. You constantly repeat the same bullshit over and over again.
And folks questioning the validity of an election with what we know about Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik and the fact that every single Intelligence branch in the US confirm that Russia assisted Trump and the GOP, and continued to do so in 2020. Roger Stone was found guilty of conspiring with Guccifer 2.0 and Julian Assange and was pardoned for it by Trump. Theses are legit points, not propaganda and not at all an equivalency.

I haven’t downplayed anything Drak. I’ve always said let professionals investigate. I haven’t tried to block or downplay allegations or investigations based on party affiliation. That I leave to you.
Re: January 6 hearings...
ALL legal observers say this was an insurrection and that it was orchestrated and taht the trump org was involved.
NOBODY says otherwise unless they are trump sycophants.
YET board cons act like nothing to see here. Same way they will act when/if we are being arrested or killed. I have said this for years, and now we realize it is true and not an exaggeration.
