Thing is, I tended to respond to them by pointing out humanism is largely an outgrowth of the Renaissance.
No humanism -- no Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, or Donatello. And we don't want that, now do we?
On the topic of algorithms, I take one political position. There can no longer be a corporate "right" to keep ones' algorithms proprietary. If you're going to use them, you need to be transparent on how they're written and what they do. In essence, in the public interest, they must be open source.
Making algorithms code that everyone can see in the public domain has to be one of the key political issues of the 21st century.
I left the Andrew Yang fan club a long time ago, but I at least remember him talking about this issue when no other candidates were doing it.
