And also ... some of these you may not have heard of. What I find paradoxical is quite a few fund rural economic development ... and I thought those areas were the heart of Trump-murica.

The 22 agencies and programs Trump's budget would eliminate
http://thehill.com/homenews/administrat ... 019-budget

[snip]

10. The Global Climate Change Initiative, a proposal that reflects Trump’s decision last year to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.

[snip]

12. The Chemical Safety Board, which is tasked with investigating accidents at chemical facilities.

[snip]

14. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds public television and radio stations including Public Broadcasting Service and NPR.

[snip]

16. The Legal Services Corporation, a nonprofit that provides civil legal assistance for low-income individuals.

17. The National Endowment for the Arts, which funds American artists and projects with grants.

18. The National Endowment for the Humanities, which provides grants to American humanities scholars.

[snip][end]

I'm surprised there's next to no discussion of the fact that Trump is eliminating the NEA and NEH as well as CPB/PBS/NPR.

Granted, yes, everyone says Congress will eventually pass a budget with all those programs still in it, ... but still.

Either Sam Petulla or Gregory Krieg, at CNN says, "Budgets released by presidents, unlike those negotiated by Congress, are more like political fan fiction than modestly crafted, passable agendas."

That seems sage.

The thing Trump would hate the most is if I ignore his budget. So that's what I'm going to do. Ignore it. :|

Fan fiction or not, it still represents his beliefs and priorities.

So, for all those who still seem to be deluded into believing he is for the poor, working people, and the little guy ...

Trump Wants to Fire 248 Forecasters at the National Weather Service

After a year that saw over $300 million in damages from hurricanes, wildfires, and other natural disasters, the Trump administration is proposing significant cuts to the National Weather Service (NWS) and hopes to eliminate the jobs of 248 weather forecasters.
