Rebecca Johnson, wife of Kentucky Republican Dan Johnson who committed suicide after facing allegations of sexual assault, has been roundedly and soundley defeated in a Special Election to fulfill the remainder of her late husband's term.

Democrat Linda Belcher defeated Ms. Johnson with 68.45% of all votes cast. Ms. Johnson received 31.55% of votes cast.

After losing the election, Ms. Johnson leveled charges of Voter Fraud, the Bullit County Clerk has yet to respond to those charges.

Democrats continue their string of victories in Special Elections held across the country after the November 2016 Presidential Election.
