One of the things the computer has allowed to do is to spell words correctly with auto-correct. While it's helpful it also hurts in that we don't concentrate as much on learning and retaining the correct spelling of words. So, with this in mind what word(s) do you have trouble spelling.
For me it's the word "restaurant." For some reason I just can't spell "restaurant" without having to rely on auto-correct. I've tried to remember it's correct spelling by breaking it down to res-tau-rant but it hasn't yet worked in that when posting this i had to rely on auto-correct for it's correct spelling.

Re: Problem Words
Welcome to my world. It's been a lifelong problem for me. What's frustrating for me is being able to spell words like restaurant correctly one time and 2 seconds later have a total brain fart on how to spell it again. If it wasn't for spell check i'd never know the difference.
The one thing that has helped.....When i come across a spell check, instead of resorting to a dictionary right off the bat, i'll exhaust every spelling possible. It's only after a half dozen brain farts that i'll go to the dictionary. Repetition. (chuckle) i got repetition on the 3rd try.

There are a number of words that flummox me to the point I'll Google my spelling and see if it's correct.bradman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 5:32 pm Welcome to my world. I would think of it as restaurant has an Aura not a uara. If you remember the Aura it all falls into placeNumber6 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 22, 2023 1:50 pm One of the things the computer has allowed to do is to spell words correctly with auto-correct. The only words I have trouble spelling are those in the dictionary.

Re: Problem Words
How can you look up a word in the dictionary for the correct spelling when you can't spell the word in the first place?
