Luke is educated beyond what most cons on this board could even imagine being, including economics.ProfX wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 2:23 pm I stand by this prediction. Climate is getting worse and worse and is creating more problems, and we are leaving a far worse world for our children and grandchildren to live in, something we should be embarrassed by. I'm not a doomer. The world will survive, probably even the human race, but with a worse quality of life. Something not to cheer over.
I have one more: I don't know when fossil fuels run out, but they are finite, and we will run out of them eventually. Some who are into the geology here say we're already running out of the cheap and easy stuff to obtain, so we're already on a downward curve.
Finally, I enjoy listening to Greta, but I also would listen to climate scientists, more than a neoliberal economic policy think tank who is cherry picking various articles going back to the 60s and 70s. Yeah, some people back then thought we were headed for an ice age. Paul Ehrlich said a "Population Bomb" was about to go off. They were wrong. We've learned a lot more since then, including that the oil companies might have known about all this even before the climate scientists.
Board con knows less about economics than climate change and it (I still am not sure it is an actual human, might be a russian bot) knows nothing about climate change.
