So, immigrants should be taking more senior position jobs?
My youngest daughter has a few problems. About 6 weeks ago she stopped for gas. They offered her a job working at the food counter. She didn't even ask if they were hiring. It was hey are you looking for a job situation.
She was they started her the next day at 14. an hour. 6 weeks later they have transferred her to another store and gave her a 2 dollar raise.
There are so many opportunities right now I find myself jealous about how hard getting a job was 45 years ago when I was young
Is this the daughter who went into the National Guard for the educational benefits so she could go to college and later get a good job?

Conservative whites are fine with doctors and lawyers and pharmacists cleaning out toilets just because they're immigrants.

Or is it the one who benefitted from affirmative action, which is fine by Glennfs when it means bragging rights about HIS family.

Or maybe she's from the same Central Casting agency that Uncle Riley comes from.

I can't speak for Uncle Riley, but Glenn does have three daughters and he's telling the truth about them.

Maybe, but this guy is actively working and voting to make me and everyone I know into second-class citizens several times over, because he chooses to believe fascist, authoritarian propaganda in addition to his self-generated lies.

Our older family members have already endured this at the hands of people like this, and it’s barely even been 2 years in which an employer can’t fire me just for being queer. Among other encroachments of rightwing racism, misogyny, and misogynoir this guy spews every day around here.

I could never be friends with a person who lives and votes according to these various supremacist ideologies. They cannot be trusted.

So, if Glennfs told me the sky was blue, I’d have to go out and check. :problem:

Link to random person with a backstory you made up for effect, to make some kind of point. :problem:

Save it for somebody who gives a crap about whatever you have to prove about this invented person.
However I understand your skepticism.
:? you understand nothing except your longstanding white-conservative victimhood and anti-Black paranoia going back to the first slave revolt.
According to your political and personal beliefs a guy like me shouldn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out.
:?

I could really give a crap about your pots or your windows. My “political and personal beliefs” are totally unrelated to and have nothing to do with men like you, except to protect myself from you guys like my relatives had to.

You guys and your destructive, supremacist, vigilante Jan. 6 culture are historically lethal.

You’ve never been denied anything by any “minority,” or any Black person, any queer person, or any woman, including me.

Doesn’t stop you from wallowing in white victimhood fantasies. Fact is, conservative whites like you were the people who imposed literal pot/window/piss conditions of every “minority,” including other so-called whites.

And now look at you playing the victim after openly admitting your own father was a beneficiary of these white-conservative, white-supremacist employment policies.

You guys are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually sick, and you’ve done it to yourselves. Cry me a damn river about your self-induced racial alienation and go vote Republican/Confederate Flag/Putin Party, where you belong.

Yes if we have openings thet should take senior positions.
What we don't need is immigrants taking entry level positions away from people who are trying to get on that first rung of the ladder of success

Good think someone let YOUR ancestors in and didn't feel that way.

Let's be clear: The corporations WANT them here to drive YOUR wages down. Remember that the right still wants to let all the Mexican truckers in at fifty cents an hour.

I went over the board and saw how the Mexican workers live. They aren't the enemy. They're just desperately poor people that are trying to care for their family in a system that's being manipulated on both sides of the border.

It was a different world and country back then. Also some of my relatives fought in the revolutionary war.
Others came here from Germany later. Now I don't know it to be true but according to family lore those original Germans were coopersmiths (barrel makers) which was a highly skilled job in the 1800s

U.S. unemployment claims climb to four-month high of 218,000

The numbers: New U.S. jobless claims rose to a four-month high of 218,000 last week, but most of the increase appeared tied to just a few states such as Kentucky and California. The number of people applying for unemployment benefits was still extremely low.

Applications for unemployment benefits climbed by 21,000 from 197,000 in the prior week, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Buffalo: India Walton on the Racist Massacre & Community’s Need for Gun Control, Good Jobs, Housing

As Buffalo, New York, mourns the loss of the 10 people killed Saturday in a racist rampage at a local grocery store in the heart of the city’s African American community, we get an update from longtime community activist and former mayoral candidate India Walton about the lack of attention to the structural issues that made the Black community vulnerable and the ineffectiveness of police.

“My question is: What happens when the cameras leave? How do we continue to support the people who have been negatively impacted?” says Walton.

“What decreases gun violence, particularly in places like East Buffalo, is going to be good living wage jobs, affordable housing, a quality education and access to the basic needs that this community has lacked for so long.”

Memorial Day air travelers face more than 900 flight cancellations Sunday
...Delta announced on its website on Thursday that from July 1 to Aug. 7, it would reduce service by about 100 daily departures, primarily in parts of the U.S. and Latin America that Delta frequently serves.

"More than any time in our history, the various factors currently impacting our operation – weather and air traffic control, vendor staffing, increased COVID case rates contributing to higher-than-planned unscheduled absences in some work groups – are resulting in an operation that isn't consistently up to the standards Delta has set for the industry in recent years," said Delta's Chief Customer Experience Officer Allison Ausband in a post......
Corporate and business misunderstood working peoples fear and desperation as their own salvation, taking away the leverage they had to attract and keep workers taking wages and benefits away taking free time and health and mental health taking away the experience buildup and skills and now cant figure out why there is such a problem.

U.S. labor market tightening; unemployment rolls smallest since 1969

WASHINGTON, June 2 (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly fell last week as demand for labor remained strong, helping to underpin the economy amid rising interest rates and tightening financial conditions.

The weekly unemployment claims report from the Labor Department on Thursday, the most timely data on the economy's health, also showed state jobless benefits rolls declining to their lowest level since 1969 in the second-half of May.

You’re a ladder-puller, like the rest of the anti-immigrant bigots.

So many of you of immigrant stock take this self-loathing attitude towards every group that comes after you.

Native Americans and African Americans have been watching you guys do this weird thing to eaother for centuries.

They always make up these stories to feel better about themselves.

The other one is their relatives being some kind of royalty, or whatever.

They hate immigrants, and thus hate themselves for coming from immigrant stock. It’s so weird to watch. All they have to do to agent rid of this cognitive dissonance is quit hating immigrants. Instead, they wallow in it like pigs in a poke. :?

Yeah, a country full of human-trafficked people working for free, and your confederate immigrant-stock relatives fighting to keep it that way.
Now I don't know it to be true but …
… but you’ll repeat the hearsay, anyway, to feel better about your immigrant relatives. Next, you’ll assure us that THEY came here legally, unlike THESE OTHER, lesser, inferior immigrants.

Well, Ms. Walton is mistaken. This is a very bad take.

This guy isn’t from East Buffalo, and his parents are civil engineers with state jobs. He drove 300 miles to mass-murder people in my family’s neighborhood, because it’s a Black neighborhood.

Jobsandtheeconomy does not make a person do this. This guy and so many others are up front about doing it because whites are supposedly superior and are supposed to get the biggest and best of everything handed to them by default.

This is a result of white-conservative ideology.
