NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Cuomo wants an arbitrator to award him $125 million for his firing from CNN, alleging his bosses knew full well how he advised his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and suggested they did the same themselves.
His filing seeking arbitration on Wednesday exposed more ugliness at the network, where Cuomo, CNN chief Jeff Zucker and his top deputy, Allison Gollust, have all been ousted in the past three months.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota’s longest-serving state senator announced Monday that he would resign following a report that he had traded scores of text messages with a man jailed on child pornography charges.
Republican Ray Holmberg, who rose to become one of the state’s most powerful lawmakers in a career that spanned 46 years, said he would resign effective June 1. His term was scheduled to end on Nov. 30 and he already had announced in March that it would be his last.

AF Reserve Chaplin sentenced to 10 years in prison for soliciting sex from a teenager.
An Air Force Reserve chaplain was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday for attempting to meet a minor for sex, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Maj. Jesse McKee Howard, 43, was convicted by a federal jury in January of attempted enticement of a minor. In addition to prison, Howard also received 10 years of probation and a $5,000 fine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas. He also must register as a sex offender.
The San Antonio Police Department arrested Howard on Nov. 12, 2020, as the chaplain thought he was meeting up with a 16-year-old transgender girl, according to court records. Howard had spent the previous days sending messages and sexually explicit photos and videos of himself from his on-base office to undercover agents posing as a teenager.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Casino mogul Steve Wynn has ended a yearslong legal fight with Nevada gambling regulators that started with claims of workplace sexual misconduct, agreeing to pay a $10 million fine and cut ties to the industry he helped shape in Las Vegas.
The Nevada Gaming Commission accepted a settlement Thursday to end the state’s look at allegations that led to Wynn’s resignation from his corporate empire in February 2018. Wynn admitted no wrongdoing. The decision was 4-0. Commission Chairwoman Jennifer Togliatti abstained from voting, citing a conflict arising from her previous work as a state court mediator.
