Great numbers, Motor City.

The one song I remember listening to this week. I heard a brilliant Bob Dylan live recording of it on the radio. This one is the best I could find on YouTube.

Love is an important subject and taken up very seriously in the 60's. With all the wars and killing, it is rarely mentioned. I think that The Word has just about been killed from conversation.

Man, I miss the era of The Beatles, especially their music from '63 - '66 when it was still "new." Fortunately, I have most of their albums on both vinyl, CD, and in MP3 formated from both the vinyl and CD.

I've thought of that song from time to time, The Year 2525. It still holds up. Though I haven't heard the other particular song by Gordon Lightfoot, he made a lot of others I remember well. This reminds me of the old BBC collections you have. Have you ever seen the, supposedly lost episode, Rumpole the Bailey's pilot, "Rumpole and the Confession of Guilt"? A masterpiece if there ever was one.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is a classic because of its haunting melody based on the real life sinking of the ship of the same name.

As for Rumpole and the Confession of Guilt I have the Rumpole series on DVD but that one isn't in the series. I'll have to watch it on Youtube. John Mortimer wrote the Rumpole series but it was Leo Mckern that gave him life.

Where did you find this music? I thought I heard the Simon and Garfunkel album, but I don't remember that song. Never heard the other two before at all.

Nice.

Another George Harrison song. I'm sure everyone's heard "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", but a gathering of heavy weights perform this one, live.

Another great composition with their own special touch. I believe the Beatles recorded in mono originally. The record reproduced in stereo is at least clear, The live version is not as clear but possesses a lot of energy.
