Republican Co-Chair Spouts Blatant Homophobia Against Pete Buttigieg
On Sunday, Meshawn Maddock, the co-chair of Michigan's Republican party took to Twitter to attack United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. Maddock's tweet was in response to a recent interview Buttigieg had done about the shift away from gas-powered vehicles.

"We're so blessed this weak little girl moved to Michigan!" Maddock wrote. "Looks like he's bringing all his California Dreaming here with him."

Buttigieg, who was previously the mayor of South Bend Indiana, moved to Michigan in July. At the time he said that family connections (through his husband Chasten) inspired the move.
Board cons approve of talking like this about Pete...how do we know? They vote for people like this.
I sigh in your general direction.

Cons hate Women, especially since Women's Lib of the 60's.

Women are merely tolerated by most cons, not all.

You keep repeating this stupid phrase, yet you expect people to click on your WS links without any attribution.

Who is this video by, and what it is about. If you can't say so and lazily just copy/paste some stupid link, don't complain when nobody clicks it.

Your party is officially the party of open anti-LGBTQ politicians, homophobic laws, anti-transgender laws, and disallowing the few gays willing to asscociate with it from entering a state GOP convention.

This is why you vote for it and defend these actions and support these politicians.

TBH, I really don't GAD what it is.

Glennfs gets his news and his ideas about LGBTQ people from extremist sources and the extremist politicians he votes for.

He also regularly espouses anti-LGBTQ ideology himself, especially over the past year as the GOP/RNC has become more and more radicalized by the Trumps, Bannons, Gosars, and Normans.

The best this person has is weak whuddabbouttery.

It’s funny to see Glenn say then when so many Republicans who have been staunchly pro-life are suddenly changing their websites to say they’re now pro-choice.

Gay Republican group chair resigns after blasting ‘crazy people’ GOP convention - KXAN

First of all, this collaborator is stupid enough to be a Republican in the first place.

i guess he values that tax cut and those guns more than he values his own safety. :?

Anyway.
The acting chairman of the Log Cabin Republicans of Texas resigned days after telling KXAN the state’s GOP convention was attended by a bunch of “crazy people.” The stinging rebuke of members of his own party came in response to a new state party platform that called homosexuality “an abnormal lifestyle choice.”

“These are just crazy people,” Michael Cargill, who owns an Austin gun store, told KXAN on Sunday. “It’s a small minority of people that are being un-Christian-like and spewing this hateful language.”
Gay Republican group blasts ‘crazy people’ Texas GOP for anti-LGBT platform

In addition to Cargill, LCR Texas Secretary and LCR Austin Vice President David Garza and President of LCR San Antonio Mimi Planas also resigned from the Texas board. The Austin and San Antonio chapters will continue to operate but will not send representatives to the Texas board, Cargill said.

Cargill blamed a “path of divisiveness, lack of respect” along with “bully tactics, lack of cohesion and unwillingness to work with all chapter and state LCR leaders in the organization.”

“I will continue to be President of LCR Austin, where we have a great working relationship with the GOP leadership at the Texas Capitol,” Cargill wrote in his resignation letter. “I will continue to lead the charge for all of our constitutional rights and focus on what is important to our chapter.”

“I see DC and California LCR members inexplicably interceding in Texas affairs and trying to pointlessly bully the Texas GOP, which has done nothing but pushed the black & brown leadership away,” he said in a statement, when asked why he decided to step down.
The only thing the LCR was ever good for -- and it's a big one -- is getting rid of Don't Ask Don't Tell. They did good on that.

Otherwise, they're just more ridiculous cons. Lol find me one nonwhite LCR. No, professional token Christian Walker doesn't count.

The entire Dem party has evolved on LGBTQ matters just over the past decade, alone. And certainly over the past 20 years.

Glennfs OTOH is one of these ridiculous cons that points to the existence of people with his own mentality in the D party 50 years ago as evidence of....something, dunno what he's trying to prove since all of those Southern Strategy confederates became Republicans just as he did. :?

Just as supremacists like him think African Americans ought to vote for the party of the slavery flag and Jan. 6, they also think LGBTQs should vote for the party making law after law after law forcing us back into second-class citizenship. :?

And they're really resentful that neither demographic really does. Especially not us Black queers.

Conservatives are some truly confused and dishonest people.

It's not shocking news that Biden - and Obama too - were anti gay marriage back in the period of that first interview. I knew that.

Yes, they evolved on the issue. Yes, Biden has said as much. Yeah, it's disappointing, but as CJ says, just about all Dem poobahs not THAT long ago were saying no to gay marriage, "accept" "civil unions" instead. It was the party's default position ... sadly.

Thing is, they were - even in the period of that interview - NOT making homophobic insults against gay politicians or public figures, like the GOP co-chair in the OP ... most importantly they are not doing it NOW in 2022 ... so the comparison is ... well, ridiculous.

Politicians are supposed to reflect the will of their voters.

For a long time most Democrats did NOT support Gay marriage because for a time most Democrats (whether it was 51% or what) were not as open minded as they should have been. But FAR MORE cons were opposed of course.

Biden and Obama were probably personally pro Gay marriage for a LONG time prior to be open to it politically, but opposed it so they could represent the people who voted for them.

GOP now does not care what their voters want unless they want racism and death, which is the only thing that terrorist org represents.
I sigh in your general direction.
