So you're not really done then? I posted YOUR comments. They are from you.

You were the one who was crying and whining to Glenn about personal attacks, when you fully engage in it, all the time. I just pointed out your ridiculous hypocrisy. And you can't take it. As per usual, you're lashing out and projecting. And pointing out the Professor is a valid point to your hypocrisy. I don't care that it makes you mad.

I'm not going to stop pointing out your bullshit. If you don't like it, tough. If you want to cry that's a personal attack, then tough. You're only here to play games. Go on Joe, keep going. We all know you're just here to play sad ego games. You're a clown. You just parrot RW BS without EVER backing it up.
You know Drak I don’t really care what you do. I ignore you most of the time. You rarely add anything on point. So point all you want. Knock yourself out.

I never said it period. End of story. I don’t invest money in clients. It’s bad business and I would never discuss personal investments. The only advise or investment I ever recommended was 401k’s. GoU made that up. It’s a total complete lie. That’s why he refers to the old board. He knows he can’t be checked.

Again, YOU are the ONLY admitted liar here. You're the only one that has made shit up about others out of whole cloth. This wasn't about recommending investments. You were talking about having money in Pharma when you were telling us that masks don't work and there was no such thing as germ theory. Plus, you had plenty of time when I first pointed out that you had monetary skin the game to correct the record, and you NEVER did. Not until yesterday.

The problem, Glenn, is that you believe everything you've said about me. You DO think I'm a communist and socialist, that I'm really a Bernie supporter, than I want to see all businesses shut down and I want to do away with all capitalism and I want the government to take all land away from people, and for the government to own all means of production.

It doesn't matter that it isn't true. Just like it isn't true what the Dems would do if elected, how we would destroy the country. It doesn't matter that we've never done such a thing before. But then you thought Obama was a socialist too.

Way to go, Joe.

I'm just following what the actual thread title says. Cuz, really, "way to go".

Joe Biden relaunches the ‘war on cancer’ — and this time it’s personal
https://www.irishtimes.com/health/2022/ ... -personal/

Fifty years ago last December, then US president Richard Nixon launched a “war on cancer”.

He maintained the time had come “when the same kind of concentrated effort that split the atom and took man to the moon should be turned toward conquering this dread disease”, in an address to the US Congress.

This week, current president Joe Biden similarly invoked the spirit and ingenuity that had taken Americans to the lunar surface in the 1960s to achieve a long-term goal of curing cancers “once and for all”.

Biden acknowledged that Nixon’s cancer initiative had been a slow burner, and for the first quarter century deaths from the condition largely remained unchanged.

[snip][end]

Since I lost my Mom to lung cancer, this is sorta personal for me, too.

I don't think there ever will be a "Cure for Cancer" (though it was an awesome Michael Moorcock novel) ... but this Cancer Moonshot is something I definitely approve of. There are so many kinds of cancer, I doubt we will ever "cure" them all, but hopefully we can save more lives.

If this can't get bipartisan support ... I wonder what at this point will. :|

The difference is that this country, in its disunited state, can't even manage to do a REAL moon shot right, and that's just a technological achievement. We know how to get people to the moon and back safely. We don't know as much about the disease thing, as witness the debacle with a simple infectious virus. They're still fighting over whether people should wear masks in those cramped and poorly ventilated New York theaters... the real reason Broadway attendance is down, assuming for discussion that it actually is down. You wouldn't know it from the lines at the Times Square TKTS booth. They're the longest ever. Not as staggering as the 24-hour wait to spend 30 seconds standing next to the dead Queen, but still pretty spectacular.

Well, Artemis I will be going back to the Moon - but without people this time - Sep. 27th, says NASA, we've got all our glitches figured out.

Fingers crossed.

If that works out, Artemis II is heading there with a crew in 2024.

60 Minutes will begin its 55th season tonight with an interview with President Joe Biden.

I think you can imagine how comforting it is to me to hear the words PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN.

I don't mind that Artemis is largely cobbled together out of parts developed for the space shuttle. These parts have been proven to work, and they should be a lot more reliable than what we've seen so far. By now one expects NASA to be able to fill a booster with liquid hydrogen without sensor malfunctions or leaks.

Then you have the fact that its hurricane season, never a good time to launch in Florida. I don't blame that on NASA. You want to launch that far south to get a good boost from the Earth's rotation, but September and October can be rather unfortunate months. They've been lucky that they haven't had to go back into the VAB, a two week turnaround at minimum, just for weather reasons.

What are you so defensive about?

Males-rule misogyny, Christians-rule Nationalism, and the white sovereignty/white supremacism they're based in are not valid political ideologies.

What are you doing to eradicate it from your party, which is chock full of them?

I don't know why I'm wasting my time to respond to this for yet another futile argument that the inflation that forced the interest rate clampdown was caused by covid (drumpf) and the war (his buddy Putin).

We obviously know that inflation is global. The US sits in the middle of the inflation rates of G20 nations.

Most economies are tied to the global economy. That's a natural consequence of global trade.Yes, the US has a great deal of influence in that but overall economies are impacted by things that happen in the world. The Russian invasion has had a major effect on the price of gas and food. These things are not within the control of the US President.

What the presidents say and what policies created will influence the stock market but less so than before.

The global inflation is, as you probably know, a product of the pandemic. There is very little that leadership across the globe could have done.

To blame the actions of Biden for a global inflation is a prime example that that person doesn't know a damned thing about the subject.

For what it’s worth, I happen to think the best way to figure out what Congressional Republicans’ commitments are is to look at the ones they’ve already made.
