https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95we_UcQh2IFederal data shows that health insurance companies denied more than 49 millions claims in 2021, but customers appealed less than 0.2 percent of them. Investigative journalists at ProPublica found that the insurance company Cigna is using an automated system to assess, and often deny, claims in bulk. Reporter Maya Miller joins Ali Rogin to discuss the findings.
Pro Publica is collecting comments from health insurance policy holders who have had their claims denied - share your experience here: ProPublica.org/healthinsurance.
The United States -- the richest country in the world -- has a higher rate of poverty than any other advanced democracy. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Matthew Desmond examines the dire situation in his new book, and he joins Michel Martin to explain why the problem persists. Their conversation is part of Chasing the Dream, our going initiative about poverty, jobs, and economic opportunity in America.
Yep, I saw that. He’s also buddies with Steve Bannon, but I suppose that’s obvious since he’s with these two traitors. Bannon has been pushing for him to run. Of course he would never win the general, which is the point.ProfX wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:32 am I used to have tremendous respect for RFK Jr. He may not have had the best "radio voice" but his program on environmental issues was great.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I wonder how other members of his family like his current bedfellows.
That's RFK Jr. with Roger Stone and Mike Flynn backstage at a "Reawaken America" conference. The woman is an anti-vax activist. Not Photoshop.
Even his own wife, Cheryl Hines, blasted him for comparing vaccine mandates to the Holocaust and suggesting what people faced was worse than Anne Frank.
I'd vote for Marianne Williamson if she was our nominee. It won't be RFK Jr., but I'd have to think long and hard on it. Even if the opponent was Trump.
Except of he were to win the nomination you will vote for him and tell us how great he is.gounion wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 8:38 am For those who remember me from Air America Place message board, I used to have an avatar of the three Kennedy Brothers with the caption "My Heroes have always been Kennedys, and they still are, it seems".
Sadly, no longer. It brings me to tears what RFK Jr. has become, especially since RFK was my biggest hero.
I do NOT support him in any way.
No, I don't know that I would. If it were him vs Trump, I might VOTE for him. But I would not and do not support him. I would fight hard against him.Glennfs wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 8:44 am Except of he were to win the nomination you will vote for him and tell us how great he is.
If he does run I plan on registering as a democratic so I can vote for him in the primary.
Our country can not deal with another 4 years of a president who is so obviously in mental decline.
No he wouldn't. That's just pure bullshit. RFK Jr. isn't a Dem, he's an op, allied with Trumpers. But keep repeating Trump's projection about Biden being in mental decline. It's what you do.Glennfs wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 8:44 am Except of he were to win the nomination you will vote for him and tell us how great he is.

It's not because Glenn wants what's best for the country, he wants to interfere and hurt the Democratic Party.Drak wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:44 am No he wouldn't. That's just pure bullshit. It's not a surprise you'd vote for him in the primary if you could. RFK is nuts, which means you're not only a hypocrite, you're on board with a blatant Trump op, because you're a Trumper, which we all know. You don't give a shit about the USA and you're a child.
Yeah, you are correct. fuck himZoWie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:24 am I've always wondered whether RFK jr is a double agent. He had a show on the late great Air America which spread a lot of anti-vax nonsense, so we know he's good at fooling lefties into thinking he's on their side. He isn't. There is no dark conspiracy to inject brain toxins into your kids.
Don't buy his line of shit. He's a DINO.
So the man who has never voted against a Democrat is now suddenly not sure.gounion wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:42 am No, I don't know that I would. If it were him vs Trump, I might VOTE for him. But I would not and do not support him. I would fight hard against him.
I can tell you flatly that I would NEVER campaign for RFK Jr. or say he was a good candidate. Period.
Against a Larry Hogan? I dunno. Might vote for Hogan, I think so little of RFK Jr. But the Hogan has his own problems. He's not much of a judge of character, since his Chief of Staff was such a crook that he ran from the law then got into a shootout with the FBI.
I would never register or vote in a Republican Primary. I don't like either side doing that. It's up to the actual party voters. It's not morally or ethically right to do so. Of course, such a thing would never bother you.
Our country is doing fine with President Biden. He's doing a far better job than any Republican this Century.
