Patriots Stripped Of Third-Round Pick By NFL

The NFL has rendered its verdict on the Patriots’ filming of a Bengals-Browns game late last year. The results aren’t pretty for the Pats – they’ll be fined $1.1MM and stripped of a 2021 third-round pick, according to Mike Reiss and Adam Schefter of ESPN.com (on Twitter). Furthermore, Pats TV crews will be barred from filming games during the upcoming season.

The Pats’ crew set up shop in the press box and filmed the Bengals’ sideline during their Week 14 game. A Bengals staffer took notice, turned the camera on the Pats’ crew, and turned over an eight-minute tape to the league office.

WarnerMedia to Sell Atlanta’s CNN Center, Sidesteps Threat of Impending Layoffs

WarnerMedia leadership told staffers Monday that the CNN Center in Atlanta will be sold, downplaying questions about whether the move signals impending layoffs.

Answering questions on an internal FAQ-style information sheet, WarnerMedia leadership explained why the iconic location in Georgia is being sold, but maintained that WarnerMedia will not be leaving Atlanta altogether: “Our strategy is to consolidate our teams in state-of-the-art hubs to maximize collaboration. This is a strategy we are also implementing at our other primary business locations, most recently at Hudson Yards in New York City and our Ivy Station project [in Culver City, California], currently in development. We believe this creates a more collaborative working environment for our employees.”

Woman hurls the N-word at Black soldier — and gets evicted from her apartment almost immediately

Local news station ABC 11 reports that Fort Bragg soldier Diamonte Ugbesia was visiting with a friend at an apartment complex in Fayetteville, North Carolina when he was accosted by a woman who started yelling racial abuse at him.

“I hate Black people,” she said. “I hate n*ggers. I hate Black people.”

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior or failure to live in a cooperative manner,” they said. “Particularly, this incident not only violates our lease agreement but the ethical standards of our community and company and will not be tolerated. We have taken immediate legal action to terminate the tenancy of the resident in violation.”

Dunkin' Donuts to close 450 stores.
Dunkin', the coffee and doughnut chain formally known as Dunkin' Donuts, is set to permanently shutter 450 locations by the end of this year.

The stores permanently closing, however, are all located in Speedway gas stations. The closure announcement follows the termination of the coffee chain's partnership with Hess, which was acquired by Speedway in 2014.

According to a Dunkin' statement provided to TODAY Food, the move will help support the chain's efforts to focus on its larger standalone cafes.
