I’ll tell you what a happy day is - having worked a union job most of your working life, so you have a comfortable retirement where you don’t have to work at all if you don’t want to - and it gives you the opportunity to volunteer and to work for the good of your community.
And it’s nice your employer allowed you to take the time off.

I am self employed. If the people I have my equipment leased to don't accommodate me I simply take my services elsewhere.

Just a bullshit thing - you have ONE employer, and can’t work for anyone else unless you leave them.

With your truck? Yes or no?
No but they do involve driving. 3 side gigs if you count poker.
As an independent I do not have to answer to the company if I choose not to.
Unions are fine for people with a lunch pale mentality. As for me I prefer to take full advantage of all the personal freedoms our country has to offer.

Haven't drove trucks since December 22nd 10 weeks later winter vacation is over.
One of the perks of working for yourself no winter driving.
I did notice less piss jugs on the road sides
Thanks glenfs
