The team we were bowling against had a bowler I knew who was a very good bowler, 10 pins above my average, so I had to do well to counter his scores. I started with a 195 average and shot a 677 series for a 225 average. The other guy shot a 275 average also for a 225 average. Both teams ended up with two wins and two losses. By watching the eclipse, I didn't pay too much attention how he or his teammates were doing so when it was my turn there wasn't much self-imposed pressure on me.
For a guy your age to still be able to bowl at that level is amazing.
The weakness in my brothers game was he was too consistent. He averaged over 200 but rarely bowled a game under 185 or over 230.
So in tournaments he would bowl his usual 615 and lose to guy whose average was 20 pins less than his. But, bowled a 689 series.
