Now unless he was simply a bad teacher and they were looking for an excuse to let him go firing him was a very bad decision.

While you can't do things like that very often. It is things like that which gives students a different perspective on school and teachers. Perhaps giving them a reason to want to learn. To want to do their best for a teacher they like or can relate to.

I know I also did better in classes where I liked and got along with the teacher. I always did poor in classes where there was animosity between me and the teacher.

People just get a large stick up their ass and should back off and wait to see results.
