Sometimes you just have to shake your head in disbelief over how stupid and gullible some people are. Case in point, a woman melts down and spews conspiracy misinformation at a store employee for wearing a mask.
A crazy woman was caught on camera this week angrily berating employees at a grocery store for wearing face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the beginning of the video, which has gone viral on the popular subreddit /r/publicfreakout, the woman starts off by yelling at employees that it’s “against the law” to force her to wear a mask in their store.

“This is just made up by Bill Gates and them, and by you wearing that!” she thundered. “You’re breathing out your toxic air, you’re breathing in the same air… you’re killing your antibodies!”

A Illinois republican state representative refused to wear a mask to a legislative session. On a vote of 81-27, the House voted to throw him out of the session.
Illinois Republican thrown out of legislative session for refusing to wear a mask.

The session was held at the Bank of Springfield Center, which has become a temporary home for the Illinois House of Representatives. The House has voted to make mask wearing mandatory during legislative sessions, but when Bailey showed up on May 20, he refused to wear one — asserting, “I will not, thank you.”

The House, according to the Chicago Tribune, voted on a motion to throw Bailey out of the session, and it passed 81-27. After that, Bailey was escorted out.

Bailey has been vehemently critical of the stay-at-home order that Democratic Gov. Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued in response to the coronavirus pandemic — which, according to researchers at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, has killed more than 328,600 people worldwide and over 93,400 in the United States (as of early Thursday morning, May 21). And Pritzker hasn’t been shy about calling Bailey out for his antics.

Pritzker asserted, “The representative has shown a callous disregard for life, callous disregard for people’s health. You just (ask) a doctor (to) tell you why people wear masks in the first place. It’s to protect others. So clearly, the representative has no interest in protecting others.”

I shake my head, but I am very observant, and mostly I'm left wondering what kind of condition she suffers from that she's got a urinary catheter with a collection bag strapped to her right side under her shorts.

At first I thought the bulge was a concealed hand gun. But she didn't move like she was carrying a gun.

I don't think she was wearing a collection bag or had a concealed gun. A urinary collection bag would be a bit lower on the leg her shorts are to short to hide a bag. It looks like the shorts are cargo shorts and she could have something else in the pocket.

Ideally one would hang a collection bag lower, way lower down on their lower leg, but as you said her shorts are too short for that.

Whatever is in her shorts, it's about a quart in size and it's squishy, and it's all on her right side.

Insofar as her movements she kept kind of squatting down bending her knees and midriff, almost like she was about to sit down, that's likely abdominal pain or cramp reaction. Kind of a pee pee dance.

If I'd been there I would have assumed it was a gun and she was armed because that would be the safe assumption for me to make. I would have treated her with caution, would have avoided adding to any sense of conflict.

Landlords Can’t Evict Their Tenants, So They're Shutting Off Utilities and Threatening Them Instead

Larry Adekeye and his wife, Cassandra, were nearly four weeks behind on rent when their landlord showed up to their home earlier this month, allegedly brandishing a knife and a two-by-four, screaming at them to leave.

“It was just to get me out, to throw all my stuff on the front lawn and get his room,” said Adekeye, who’s lived in Warwick, Rhode Island, with several roommates since November.

Remember the angry guy who refused to wear a mask in Costco so Costco refuse to allow him to enter their store. Well, he's posted an video continuing his angry tirade. Included in his tirade are these gems:

First, they wanted us to wear shirts and shoes and we gave it to them.
No Shoes, No Shirt, No service. Basic hygiene regulations designed to protect the public. I guess Brent doesn't want to take a bath either. :rw)

Now they want us to wear a mask in public; I don't think so. It's call tyranny.
The mask helps prevents water droplets, which might contain the Coronavirus, from infecting other people as well as Brent.

I thought I could be an asshole anyplace, anytime but apparently it's illegal on private property.
Brent, you have the right to be an asshole any place/anytime but you don't have the right to abuse that right.

I'll never be back to Costco mostly because my membership expired.
I'm sure Costco is glad to hear this.

I don't support Walmart so I guess we're a Sam's Club family now.
Brent, you want to be an asshole and that's your right. Now you're just a dumb asshole because Sam's Club is owned by Walmart. If you buy at Sam's Club it's the same as buying at Walmart.

Well initially communication regarding the shutdown was inconsistent. I was hearing different things from different people. Bottomline is that we didn’t know a whole lot about what we were dealing with and everyone had a model. That’s all water under the bridge.

Today we know more about the virus than we knew then. There aren’t two camps. There are multiple camps. It isn’t a simple as saying one group is listening to medical experts and the other is throwing caution to the wind. Hell I know lots of doctors. My sister who works in a hospital knows lots of doctors. I am sure they know way more about infectious diseases than either you or I. And those docs are split on what to do. It’s not like there is a consensus in the medical community from what I can see. Some say we are not worried enough and others say we are over reacting.

What I do know is this. We cannot keep this country shut down for an extended amount of time without doing serious damage to the economy. Just about every governor, mayor, local, state and federal official and business leader recognizes that. We can’t print money forever.

So what to do in the meantime. Well we gotta figure out a way to survive until medicine catches up to the problem. My opinion is that people will have to decide for themselves how much risk they can afford to take. If you are young, healthy and bulletproof, that standard might be low for you. If you are sixty five with underlying medical conditions then maybe sheltering in place and eating baked beans is the answer for you. But I would hesitate to force people to stay locked down and watch everything they have worked their whole lives for go down the tubes. That to me is a decision they should make. They have been extremely patient and have done as asked for eight weeks. No one knows how long it will be until we have a vaccine or a therapy to treat this disease. We have to allow people the ability to make their own decisions about how to address this problem and that is going to vary person to person and community to community.
Inconsistent communications........Now there's an understatement. i'm still confused....Because Mn. didn't quite meet Federal guidelines for opening we extended full opening by two more weeks only to be blindsided with a twit tweet calling for our "liberation". Helluva way to mitigate a problem id say.

No, we can't keep printing money, i agree. With the population the way it is nowadays it could be catastrophic if the supply chain that fed it failed. The truck drivers alone will give ya a good idea on how well that's being mitigated. That, id agree, is worrisome.

Bottom line, Joe, it'd be a helluva shame to throw all this hard work away just because of a trigger happy twit camp.

Now let's open up them churches, eh.

KGB and GOP are behind the tweet storm to open up...or whatever putin calls the KGB now, I refuse to use the new name...

GOP supporters like those here are also wanting to WASH over the country with the virus, that is until THEY get it.

BTW I am not happy with Michael Moore these days but he made a great point on Maher last night, the yahoos with the guns like in Michigan are the same ones he grew up with and they are all cowards. He said and I agree we must not be afraid of them...

My comments about disgusting righty's has never been about personal fear or lack of fear but to emphasize what I know about them and that is they are capable of supporting death and destruction, as we now see. There is no killing they wont support if rump is doing it.

Feds claim L.A. stay-at-home order may be illegal

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The U.S. Department of Justice on Friday warned the mayor of Los Angeles and the county's top health officer that an extension of the coronavirus stay-at-home order may be unlawful.

The vague letter sent to Mayor Eric Garcetti and LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer did not spell out any specific violations, but noted concern about statements both had made publicly that restrictions may be prolonged without a vaccine.

Feds say man lied to his employer about having COVID-19

ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia man faces charges after authorities say he lied to his employer that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Santwon Antonio Davis, 34, is charged with defrauding his employer, the U.S. attorney's office in Atlanta said in a news release Thursday. Because Davis said he'd tested positive, his employer had to shut down its plant for sanitizing and put several other employees on paid leave while they quarantined, causing the company a loss of more than $100,000, prosecutors said.

Yo Republicans, you've already lost California, now give it up and let people with some real concept of governing do the grown up people's work. Rural counties with few or no cases are free to open up if that's what they think is best. If you have a cow pig and a horse when the still considerably diseased LA County tries to handle the consequences of bad government in DC, then we'll see your pasty rich old fart white asses in court.

https://www.aol.com/article/news/2020/0 ... /24410114/
This is a two fer, Davis a young black man is clearly being charged with felony fraud instead of misdemeanor fraud, which it was, on the basis of trumped up losses his company suffered. Let's add U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak's asshole, to Santwon Antonio Davis' asshole and add both of them to this asshole thread.

Fraud charges in Federal court can be misdemeanors or felonies depending on the amount of loss involved. If the story has it correct Davis' company suffered no loss to his clear intent to defraud them. They clearly didn't give him any money.

Here's what shows that the losses Pak is charging him under are trumped up. Davis' company spotted his fraudulent intent before they shut down their plant for sanitizing, and put several other employees on paid leave while they quarantined, causing the company a loss of more than $100,000. Davis should not be held culpable for that decision his company made to close down and sanitize after they had spotted his fraudulent intent.

I'll quote from the article:
The company's human resources manager reviewed the medical excuse letter Davis sent and saw some indications of fraud, the FBI agent's statement says. For example, it said he was discharged in November 2019, was unsigned and didn't appear to be on formal letterhead. The company also called the hospital where Davis said he'd been tested and found out that it wasn't doing COVID-19 tests.

After repeated unsuccessful attempts to get Davis to send his test results, the company told him on March 25 that he'd been suspended and would be fired if he didn't send them by 3 p.m. that day, the agent's statement says. Davis never responded or provided test results and has been fired.

Relying on what Davis had said, the company closed its plant on March 23 for cleaning and paid salaries of at least four employees while they quarantined because they'd been in close contact with Davis, the agent's statement says.
It does appear to me on the merits that David is indeed a State misdemeanor asshole, but not a horrible Federal felony asshole. The difference is perhaps 30 days to 6 months, not something like 6 to 12 years.

Jim Crow appears to be still alive and kicking down south in Georgia. :(

Husband of Reopen NC leader ‘willing to kill people’ in resistance to emergency orders.
The husband of the woman who leads the Reopen NC movement says people should be willing to kill, if necessary, to resist the “New World Order” and emergency orders imposed by state government to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

Adam Smith posted a string of Facebook Live videos on Facebook on Friday, May 22, 2020 that culminated with a chilling threat.

“But are we willing to kill people? Are we willing to lay down our lives?” he asked. “We have to say, ‘Yes.’ We have to say, ‘Yes.’ Is that violence? Is that terrorism? No, it’s not terrorism. I’m not trying to strike fear in people by saying, ‘I’m going to kill you.’ I’m gonna say, ‘If you bring guns, I’m gonna bring guns. If you’re armed with this, we’re going to be armed with this.’”

Nike refuses to allow county health inspector into facility after worker dies of Covid-19

Mitt Romney was deservedly castigated in 2011 when, while campaigning for president, he famously declared that “corporations are people, too.” Beyond the sheer tone-deafness of that remark (particularly to Americans just emerging from what then was quaintly regarded as the worst economic crisis in their lifetimes), it ignored the way corporate entities are routinely treated by governments at all levels. To paraphrase F. Scott Fitzgerald, corporations are different from you and me.

In Memphis, for example, the Nike corporation apparently felt comfortable simply shutting its doors to public health inspectors, even after one of its workers died from Covid-19.

Leader Of North Carolina Anti-Lockdown Protest Group Says He’s ‘Willing To Kill People’ To Fight Restrictions

The leader of a North Carolina group protesting the state’s lockdown measures said he is “willing to kill people” in order to fight back against government restrictions.

Adam Smith, one of the founders of ReOpenNC, said during a Facebook live chat this week that he was willing to resort to violence to push back against restrictions that remain in place in order to fight the spread of the coronavirus. As the News Observer reported, Smith repeatedly said he was prepared to react violently if the government were to push back with force against the protests.

Florida Man Arrested After He Allegedly Kidnaps Teenager, Forcing Her To Help Him Pass A COVID-19 Checkpoint

Alexander Michael Sardinas of Florida was arrested this week after allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old girl and forcing her to help him get past a COVID-19 checkpoint. The 37-year-old man and an unnamed woman from Islamorada took the girl from a Publix parking lot in Homestead, according to ABC News.

The 17-year-old girl, whose name has been kept private, is a resident of the Florida Keys. In an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Florida Keys is closed to those who are not residents through the end of the month. In order to travel through the checkpoint, a driver would need to prove that they are a resident.

Shoppers at Staten Island grocery store scream at woman for not wearing mask

Video showing a group of furious shoppers berating a woman who wasn't wearing a face covering at a Staten Island ShopRite went viral over Memorial Day weekend. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, New Yorkers are required to wear masks or face coverings when out in public and unable to follow social distancing guidelines.

The footage shows customers yelling at the woman and demanding she leave the ShopRite because she isn't wearing a mask. The video, which was originally shared on Facebook, gained popularity on social media after a Twitter user reposted it Sunday night.
