Re: Bye
Your math is off. Teixeira, as ap215 posted, is 27 years old. If he's sentenced to 16 years in prison that means he'll be 43 years old when he leaves prison.
I doubt anyone will remember him or what he did when he gets out.

Jane Fonda is mostly a pain in the butt. She's good for attracting cameras to protest demonstrations, and not much else.
Republicans seem to be taking Steve Garvey seriously, but then he's the only Republican anybody ever heard of running for a traditionally Democratic seat in the Senate. I wonder how many of them even remember that his career was as a baseball player for the Dodgers. He was known as The Garve and he was something of a pain in the ass, always using his name recognition to get his completely ignorant kneejerk views onto the Nooz.

Liberty University agrees to unprecedented $14 million fine for failing to disclose crime data
Liberty University has agreed to pay an unprecedented $14 million fine after the Christian school failed to disclose information about crimes that occurred on its Lynchburg campus, including those involving sexual assaults, the U.S. Department of Education announced Tuesday.
The fine is by far the largest ever levied under the Clery Act, a law that requires colleges and universities that receive federal funding to collect data on campus crime and notify students of threats. Schools must disseminate an annual security report that includes crime reports and information on efforts to improve campus safety.

Navy demotes Senator Rony Jackson from Rear Admiral (O-8) to Captain (O-7) for not keeping "..within the standards the Navy requires of its leaders.."
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), the former White House physician, retired as a Navy rear admiral in 2019 but was demoted less than two years later, The Washington Post reported.
“The substantiated allegations in the DODIG investigation of Rear Adm (lower half) Ronny Jackson are not in keeping with the standards the Navy requires of its leaders and, as such, the Secretary of the Navy took administrative action in July 2022,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
The DODIG found that Jackson “made sexual and denigrating statements” about a female staff member, drank alcohol and took the sleeping pill Ambien while on the job, and overall contributed to a “negative work environment” while serving as White House physician.

Brooklyn preacher known for flashy lifestyle convicted of wire fraud, attempted extortion

(CNN) — Dozens of performers and speakers have canceled appearances at the ongoing South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, in protest of event sponsorship from by the US military and defense companies amid the war between Israel and Hamas.
The protesting bands, singers and panelists have shared notes of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza as they announced their withdrawal from South by Southwest – which runs until March 16 – citing major event sponsorship from the US Army and a handful of smaller defense industry partnerships against the backdrop of US government support of Israel in the war.

Republicans will no longer get to handpick their judges when they sue Biden
Plaintiffs hoping to reshape federal or state policies will no longer be allowed to choose which judge will hear their case, at least in federal court. A new policy announced Tuesday by the Judicial Conference of the United States, a government body that sets policy for federal courts, targets rules in some federal courts that the conference said “risked creating an appearance of ‘judge shopping.’”
At least in the short term, this policy is a massive victory for the Biden administration — and, indeed, for anyone who believes that federal and state policies should not rise and fall based on one outlier judge’s partisan views.
