Fox News Pundit Announces She’s Not a Democrat

TULSI GABBARD, THE former 2020 presidential candidate and current Fox News talking head, announced on Tuesday that she is leaving the party she sought to represent in the White House.

“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,” she said in a video address that filled up a bingo card’s worth of right-wing talking points.

Nonwhite complains of "anti white" racism & "cowardly wokeness" - could go in another thread.

Yeah, Trump is so antiwar he exploded the military budget  , threatened North Korea & Iran with nukes and assassinated one of its generals, wanted more Nazis in his military brass, and eliminated rules on torture, use of drones & nuclear weapons.

Distrusting people who were in Krishna cults or protecting secularism and LGBTQ rights is not "anti-faith".

Arizona woman gets 30 days in jail for collecting 4 ballots

PHOENIX (AP) — A southwestern Arizona woman who pleaded guilty to collecting four early ballots in the 2020 primary was sentenced Thursday to 30 days in jail and two years’ probation, with the judge saying he did not think she had accepted responsibility for her crime.

The sentence for Guillermina Fuentes, a 66-year-old school board member and former mayor of the small border city of San Luis, caps a lengthy case that caught the eye of investigators the day of the August 2020 primary and eventually led to charges against Fuentes and another San Luis woman.

Cartoon Network Studios, As You Know It, Is Gone Thanks To David Zaslav

Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) laid off 82 scripted, unscripted, and animation employees on Tuesday, and will not fill 43 more vacant positions. The 125 positions represented 26% of the companies workforce across those units.

However, the layoffs, which were generally expected, don’t tell the whole story of what’s going on at Warner Bros. Discovery’s animation units. In fact, there was an even more consequential announcement yesterday that fundamentally alters the structure of Cartoon Network Studios going forward and will have a far-reaching impact on the projects that it produces. The company calls it part of its “strategic realignment.”

You of all people probably already understand that the entertainment industry is very often a zoo in which the animals have been elevated to executive positions that govern the facility's daily operation. The humans lock themselves in the cages for protection, but the animals often find the keys.

For the purposes of this metaphor, TV news is included in the zoo.

The best team, and might be the best in history, in baseball loses their division series to their Southern California underdogs eliminating them from advancing to the National League Championship series and possible World Series title.
For six months, Roberts looked as if he would be right. The Dodgers set a franchise record with 111 wins, becoming just the fifth team in AL/NL history to win that many games in one season. It looked like the Dodgers were on their way to a second World Series in three seasons.

Instead, the Dodgers’ season ended with one of the most disappointing finishes in baseball history, and certainly in the franchise’s storied history, following a 5-3 loss to the Padres in Game 4 of the National League Division Series Saturday at Petco Park.

I watched the game last night on TV and for my San Diego Padres it will not only be one of their greatest comebacks but their greatest game ever.

Not even close to best in history. Teams that choke don’t get that consideration. They won a lot of games but couldn’t get close to closing the deal.

I was very impressed with the padres though. Brilliant move to get Hader. Ice runs through his veins.

LA politicians to lose committee positions over race scandal

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The head of the Los Angeles City Council stripped two members of much of their power Monday to pressure them to resign for participating in a private meeting in which they did not object to a colleague's crude and racist remarks and at times joined in the offensive banter.

Acting Council President Mitch O’Farrell removed Gil Cedillo and Kevin de Leon from committee chairmanships and assignments and named them instead to a board that rarely meets as he turned up the heat on the veteran Democratic politicians.
