Oregon ban on secret recordings upheld, Project Veritas plans Supreme Court appeal
Jan 7 (Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld an Oregon law banning most secret recordings of oral conversations, rejecting a First Amendment challenge by Project Veritas, a conservative activist group known for using covert recordings against opponents.
In a 9-2 decision, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Seattle said the so-called conversational privacy law did not violate Project Veritas' free speech rights.

Sonos CEO leaves company over botched iOS app
Patrick Spence has left Sonos after eight years as CEO, following the disastrous rollout of an iOS app that left customers unable to use their devices.
Spence was originally the deputy to Sonos founder John MacFarlane, and took over the role of CEO from him in 2017. Unfortunately, his most visible impact has been the release of the revamped and subsequently failed iOS app.

In a few days, Harris will no longer be VPOTUS. She will have to find another place to crash, since some whacko righty pol from some yahoo state will become the new VPOTUS. She has a very nice mansion in Brentwood, but oops, it's in the evacuation zone, and yes, the common people of LA have already tried to burglarize it once and they will be back.
Maybe she will pick up her mail at the post office that we can't use any more.

Another Florida Democrat Defects: Doral Vice Mayor Maureen Porras Switches to Republican
DORAL— The City of Doral Vice Mayor Maureen Porras(D) has left the Democratic Party and registered as a Republican, stating that one of the reasons she switched party affiliation was because “socialist ideas” have seeped into the Democratic Party.
This is yet another big blow to the core of the Florida Democratic Party. Vice Mayor Porras becoming a Republican all but confirms that a growing number of Democrats, both at the municipal and state level, do not see a future or a way forward as registered Democrats.

Federal prosecutors drop corruption case against former NY Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin
Manhattan, NY (WRGB) — Federal prosecutors are dropping a corruption case against former New York Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin. Joe Biden spent his final full day as US president Sunday in South Carolina, urging Americans to “keep the faith in a better day to come” and reflecting on the influence of both the civil rights movement and the state itself in his political trajectory.

Drumpf could urge the Nooz to have some class and stop furthering the imperial aims of an uber-wealthy handful of greed junkies, but that would be bad for fund raising, so he won't.
