It's a tragedy when anyone dies of cancer, but in OJ's case the violin is a very small one indeed.

There are certain cases that our legal system is simply not equipped to handle.

As is my policy, I won’t say anything until after the funeral, my way of showing respect to a grieving family. Not asking anyone else to do it, but I decided long ago it was the right thing for me to do. I remember the whooping and cheering from the right when Ted Kennedy passed.

Fritz Peterson was a very decent left handed pitcher primarily in the late60s early 70s
His biggest claim to fame is he and fellow pitcher Mike Kekich swapped wives and entire families.

Fashion Industry Reacts to Roberto Cavalli’s Death

MILAN – The news of Roberto Cavalli’s death at age 83 on Friday led to fond memories of the designer, his passion for the arts and fashion and his influence on Made in Italy.

“I cannot imagine a vision of fashion more distant from mine than that of Roberto Cavalli, yet I have always had enormous respect for him: Roberto was a true artist, wild and wonderful in his use of prints, capable of transforming fantasy into seductive clothes. I have learnt with great sadness of his passing: his Tuscan verve will be greatly missed,” said Giorgio Armani.

Faith Ringgold Passes Away at 93; Infused Quilts and Children’s Books with Black Life

Faith Ringgold, a renowned multimedia artist known for her pictorial quilts depicting the African American experience, passed away at the age of 93 at her home in Englewood, N.J. Throughout her career, which spanned over fifty years, Ringgold explored themes of race, gender, class, family, and community using a variety of media including painting, sculpture, textiles, and performance art. She was a strong advocate for bringing the work of Black artists and women into major American museums, and her art has been exhibited worldwide and is part of the permanent collections of prestigious institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum.

Ringgold’s art often reflected her own experiences, and she used her work as a platform for activism and social justice. Her paintings from the 1960s and ’70s delved into complex topics such as race relations in America and the intersection of gender and race. Critics praised her unique style that integrated craft materials with fine-art materials, vibrant colors, and a focus on ordinary Black people and their daily lives. Despite early critical acclaim, Ringgold did not achieve widespread recognition in major museums until later in life, attributing this to her race, gender, and unwavering commitment to using art to address societal issues.
