Baltimore Ravens legend Tony Siragusa dead at 55

BALTIMORE — Former Baltimore Ravens player Tony Siragusa has died, sources confirmed to 11 Sports Director Gerry Sandusky.

Siragusa was found unresponsive in his New Jersey home Wednesday morning by his son. He was 55.

ER Actress Mary Mara Dead at 61 After Apparent Drowning in NY River: 'Everyone Loved Her'

Mary Mara, an actress known for her roles in ER and Criminal Minds, has died. She was 61.

The actress' body was discovered Sunday morning after she appeared to have drowned while swimming in St. Lawrence River in Cape Vincent, New York, according to a statement from New York State Police, who noted that an investigation is ongoing.

Nick Nemeroff Dead: Canadian Comedian Dies at 32

Nick Nemeroff, who performed at Just for Laughs in Montreal, Canada, and participated in CTV Comedy’s Roast Battle Canada, has died. He was 32.

“Nick’s dedication to stand-up comedy was admirable and produced amazing results. He performed on Conan before the age of 30 and was featured in multiple TV tapings, most recently, CTV’s Roast Battle Canada,” the late comedian’s family wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 27. “He drew acclaim in Canada and the US, becoming both a ‘comic’s comic’ and a hit with crowds who were enamored by his unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan, and fresh take on misdirection-driven comedy.”

Sam Gilliam, pioneering abstract artist, dies age 88

Sam Gilliam, the first Black artist to represent the US pavilion at the Venice Biennale, has died at the age of 88.

The American abstract artist died Saturday, David Kordansky Gallery and Pace Gallery, which represent his work, announced Monday.

WASHINGTON — Michael Stenger, the former Senate sergeant-at-arms who oversaw Senate security during the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, was found dead on Monday morning, two sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News.

The medical examiner in Virginia did not handle his death, a spokesman said, indicating it was not considered suspicious.

OK, well maybe it is not suspicious. But considering who he is or was, NOTHING is impossible. Yes he had cancer, but so do lots of people.

I am alleging nothing, but to dismiss it this easy is lazy. How hard is it to get a cause of death.

Woody Williams, the last surviving WWII Medal of Honor recipient dies at 98

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Hershel W. "Woody" Williams, the last remaining Medal of Honor recipient from World War II, died Wednesday. He was 98.

Williams' foundation announced on Twitter and Facebook that he died at the Veterans Affairs medical center bearing his name in Huntington.

Theater and film director Peter Brook has died. He was 97.

Brook's work spanned seven decades and ranged from star-studded Shakespeare productions to radical experiments in theater form. A defining moment in his career was the sensation he created in 1964; a play with a 26-word title seemed to say it all: The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade, or Marat/Sade for short.

Former WTVJ Sports Anchor, ESPN Reporter Hank Goldberg Dies at 82

Hank Goldberg, who spent nearly a decade as a sports anchor for WTVJ in the 1980s and early 1990s before spending decades as a reporter and analyst with ESPN, died Monday.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Goldberg died at his apartment in the city on his 82nd birthday. His sister told the paper his death was caused by complications from a battle with chronic kidney disease.

Former NHL defenseman Bryan Marchment dies at 53

MONTREAL (AP) — Former NHL defenseman Bryan Marchment died unexpectedly Wednesday in Montreal, his agent said. He was 53.

Longtime agent Rick Curran confirmed Marchment’s death to The Associated Press. Marchment was attending the NHL draft in Montreal as a scout for San Jose Sharks.

Former Japan PM Abe dies after being shot at stump speech in Nara

NARA, Japan - Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is dead after being shot on Friday while delivering a stump speech in the western city of Nara two days ahead of a national election, a ruling party source said.

Japan's longest-serving leader was attacked by a 41-year-old man from behind at around 11:30 a.m. when he was speaking in front of Kintetsu Railway's Yamato-Saidaiji Station, police said, adding he collapsed to the ground after two shots were heard. He was rushed to hospital with blood seen on his shirt.

Willie Lee Morrow, barber who made Afro pick popular and inspired the Jheri Curl, has died

Morrow, the inventive son of Alabama sharecroppers, died last month at his home in San Diego of pneumonia. He was 82.

The barber who pioneered many of the hair care products that became an iconic part of the Black community has passed away at 82.

Larry Storch, best known for playing the dim but loveable Cpl. Randolph Agarn on the 1960s sitcom “F Troop,” has died at the age of 99.

A message posted today on his Facebook page reads, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the news our beloved Larry passed away in his sleep overnight. We are shocked and at a loss for words at the moment. Please remember he loved each and every one of you and wouldn’t want you to cry over his passing. He is reunited with his wife Norma and his beloved F Troop cast and so many friends and family.”
