One of the saddest things about white supremacist ideology isn’t even what conservative whites have done to everyone else, including other whites. It’s that you guys have convinced yourselves that it’s your right to create a permanent criminal class based on color and so-called race.

You guys have 350 years of case law, federal and state constitutions, eliminationist vigilantism, local discrimination policies, and the police forces to enforce them.

It would be one thing if it were only “African Americans” you guys treated this way; you guys treat basically everyone else this way, too.

But it sure is interesting that you never pop into these threads with memorized stats on Latino criminality or Asian criminality, inn'it.

Conservative whites did the same thing to other so-called whites (and you still do, personally, every time you cry antifa around here, or give GoU the niggerlover treatment.) At the turn of last century, the same propaganda was leveled at Jewish crime, Italian crime, Irish crime, etc.

But nothing is as enduring as the fantasies and imagery of negro crime, is there.
Personally I do not believe it has anything to do with race.
:?

You’re confusing yourself, probably because your White Citizens Council social training is getting in the way of your reasoning skills.

You very clearly make the connection to “race” every time you cry chicago and post these negro crime whattabbouttery stats to justify police brutality. Or like you’re doing in this thread: to avoid the actual topic of the thread.

The topic of this thread is about who implements cancel culture. And also about you guys’s manufactured, commiebaiting freakouts about nonexistent CRT curricula and supposed LGBTQ grooming in public schools.

You personally buy into these weary old strategies, and that makes sense, since you’re the target market for them.

But you might want to note that the same strategies conservative whites and other duped cons are using in your anti-CRT/anti-LGBTQ policies have already been done many times before, literally in every generation.

What we’re seeing now from you guys is merely the 2021-2022 midterms version.

You have stated that white conservatives and their children are deadly. Do you have the same opinion about blacks.

It’s almost funny, 200+ years of systemic racism, violent racism, Jim Crow, voter suppression, red lining, economic war on African-Americans (every bit of it continuing to this day), and yet the white murder rate is high as it is, can you imagine if the white people were on the receiving end of all of that for 200+ years what it would be, dear God.

White racist asshole says “I’m gonna kick you into the gutter and kick you in the head every day for 200+ years and if you respond in anyway I’m gonna blame you for responding.”

Right now in my family, I’m having an experience like this where someone has treated someone very disrespectfully and when they responded they were blamed for having feelings about it, it’s almost like gaslighting.
I sigh in your general direction.

Oh, stick around. I'll declare it even stronger than that.

White conservatives and your children are way worse than just deadly.

Your lifestyle choices and supremacist beliefs about yourselves, forged into law, have proven lethal to everyone else. Including other so-called whites. You guys have had policies and the law and the cops to back you up. No other group of people has had that to their benefit, nor should they, ever.
Do you have the same opinion about blacks.
Hi, Mister Apples/Oranges.

See below, especially no. 4. Or any other of the scores of posts I've made around here on this subject. :problem:
A belief such as yours is as ignorant as people who believe that blacks are inherently evil
1. I do not believe in "evil," which is a theological concept. I have no interest in arguing/bickering about theology.

2. You guys's behavior is chosen and was written into law. There's nothing inherent about it.

3. You guys's way of life has been forged and backed up by state/government actors like legislators, presidents, courts, government propaganda outfits like the White Citizens Council newspaper, and the police.

4. You guys have buried yourselves and your children in propaganda about the inherent evilness or criminality or amorality or general inferiority or whatever of "blacks." This propaganda has often been government-generated, and government-backed. "Blacks," on the other hand, have never, EVER wielded the government into creating discriminatory laws on our behalf, or shutting everyone else out of education, housing, economic mobility, immigration, or military service. Can't say the same for conservative whites, who are the most government-dependent people in this country. Without the government handing you everything over the course literally of centuries, you guys wouldn't even have a group identity at all.

4a. only insecure people act this way. There is not one other group of people in this country that has EVER wielded the government into creating discriminatory laws on their behalf, or shutting whites else out of education, housing, economic mobility, immigration, or military service. Not "blacks," not anyone else. Only one group of people has done so. I'll give you a guess which one.

5. Nothing about these conditions is inherent. It's purposefully chosen, and can be un-chosen.

People who are inherently superior in all the ways white conservatism claims to be, don't need the full force of government or violently-enforced social norms or the cops to back them up.

Why would they. They're everyone else's innate, inherent superiors.

Well, conservative whites apparently do.

EXCLUSIVE: Now the far right is coming for college too — with taxpayer-funded "classical education"
Republicans are channeling tax dollars to right-wing institutes at colleges across the nation. What's the endgame?
https://www.salon.com/2022/05/31/exclus ... education/

Last fall, when professors at Flagler College, a private liberal arts school in St. Augustine, Florida, gathered for a faculty senate meeting, they learned that the college administration had worked with their local legislator to propose a new academic center on campus, the Flagler College Institute for Classical Education. To administrators, it was an exciting prospect: the chance to receive $5 million from the state to shore up their "first year seminar," a universal core curriculum for incoming freshmen intended to help students, particularly first-generation students, prepare for the rigors of college.

But some faculty members felt concerned, reading between the lines in a state that has become ground zero for the nation's education debates — where Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Trump-style Republican with his eyes on the White House, has imposed gag orders and mandates on K-12 schools and described universities as "hotbeds of stale ideology" and "indoctrination factories."

[snip]

It didn't help that one Flagler trustee perceived as being a key driver of the proposal, John Rood, a former ambassador under George W. Bush, also chairs the governing board of the Jacksonville Classical Academy — part of the nationwide charter school network created by Hillsdale College, a private Christian college in Michigan that has become a major player in America's culture wars. To some faculty, the proposed institute felt like an attempt to "make Flagler College the Hillsdale of the South."

[snip]

While the outcome at Flagler is still unclear on multiple levels, there were legitimate reasons for faculty to be alarmed, given the range of recent conservative assaults on public education, particularly but not exclusively in Florida. At a number of prominent colleges and universities around the country, big-money conservative interests are proposing and creating a roster of educational centers dedicated to conservative ideology or laissez-faire economics, often wrapped in the language of "classical education," "civics" or "freedom." The concept in itself isn't new; right-wing philanthropists have been creating academic programs in their own image for decades. But these days, the model has been adopted by Republican-led legislatures too, effectively using taxpayer dollars to implant conservative ideology in public institutions.

[snip][end]

What is a "classical education"? As always, in all these debates, I wish the terms and positions would be clarified. Can you say you oppose indoctrination, then simultaneously impose a very narrow view of classical education on universities, and not call that indoctrination?

Look, I think there's quite a bit to be gotten out of reading Greek philosophy. Stoicism, they say, is making a comeback. Western and European history should be known. But I don't quite get how this is an either/or. Does a classical education mean Toni Morrison doesn't belong in the library? There have been developments in philosophy since the Greeks, too. I personally think one can learn many insights about studying the development of Maya civilization (and not just why it collapsed in the Late Classic period.) Is studying Gandhi part of a classical education? (One would hope so, but it all comes down to I guess how you define things like "the classics" and "the West.")

Most universities have a Classics department, and a Philosophy department, and ... nothing is stopping you from learning about most folks call "the classics" so I once again don't get the need for top-down state mandates here.

These are just Citizens Academy schools.

There is NO difference between these conservative white academies now and those of the early 70s-‘00s.

This Jackson Citizens Informer from 1975 extolls the virtues of White Citizens Council so-called academies.

It's worth reading, because conservative whites from 1975 were a lot more honest about their educational goals for their dirty snotnose brats than they are, today.

And it's exactly the dirty snotnose brats in these pictures from 1975 that are now GenX middle-aged Republican operatives, today. It's only a secret to them why they are still so f'ed up and warped on June 1, 2022. :problem:

Look at these nasty little WNs in training. Hopefully, at least SOME of them were able to escape this sh#thole existence.

This is the new GOP cancel culture.

Norman Ornstein@NormOrnstein
Jackboot dictator. And complete asshole.

Ron Filipkowski 🇺🇦 @RonFilipkowski
Desantis will veto the bill to fund the Tampa Rays new Spring Training facility because of their recent statements about gun violence following the Buffalo and Uvalde mass shootings.

Criticize a GOP official - heck just generally criticize a policy, or inaction on a issue that bugs the GOP - your team/etc. gets defunded & "cancelled".

Norm Ornsstein is one conservative who I at least respect for often calling things as they are, and he's spot on here.

I remember from back in the 80s and onward republicans were describing the IRS, and the rest of government, as jackboot thugs and now it seems all along they were describing themselves. As I've said in the past, all these names republicans call others is simply them projecting their traits on others.

Government punishing free speech is an actual attack on the 1A. Desantis is an authoritarian and he’s supported by two local conservative morons who whine about freedom of speech and government overreach all the time. DeSantis has attacked Disney for their 1A as well, and tells businesses how they’re allowed to operate (see cruise ships on Covid, for example), which conservatives in the past have claimed is against conservatives ideals. This is straight up fascism.

The fact is, they are all liars and hypocrites who do not stand for what they say they do. It’s all about owning the libs and cheering for a political party like a sports team, no matter what. There is no bottom. What’s hilarious is one of them still attempts to pretend he’s some sort of independent neutral thinker. 🤡

Like Number6 says, it’s all projection.

White Parents Rallied to Chase a Black Educator Out of Town. Then, They Followed Her to the Next One. - Pro Publica
At first, the scope of the role gave Lewis pause. In her current district, these responsibilities were split among several people, and she’d never held a position dedicated to anything as specific as that before. But she had served on the District Equity Leadership Team in her Maryland county and felt prepared for this new challenge. She believed the job would allow her, as she put it, to analyze the district’s “systemic and instructional practices” in order to better support “the whole child.”

“We’re so excited to add Cecelia to the CCSD family,” Superintendent Brian Hightower said in the district’s March 2021 announcement about all of its new hires. (The announcement noted that the creation of the DEI administrator role “stems from input from parents, employees and students of color who are serving on Dr. Hightower’s ad hoc committees formed this school year to focus on the topic.”) Hightower acknowledged “both her impressive credentials and enthusiasm for the role” and pointed out that, “In four days, she had a DEI action plan for us.”
Lewis was beginning to prepare for her move South, spending as much time with friends and family as possible, when she got a strange call from an official in her new school district. The person on the line — Lewis won’t say who — asked if she had ever heard of CRT.

Lewis responded, “Yes — culturally responsive teaching.” She was thinking of the philosophy that connects a child’s cultural background to what they learn in school. For Lewis, who’d studied Japanese and Russian in college and more recently traveled to Ghana with the Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad program for teachers, language and culture were essential to understanding anyone’s experience.

At that point, she wasn’t even familiar with the other CRT, critical race theory, which maintains that racial bias is embedded in America’s laws and institutions and has caused disproportionate harm to people of color. In a speech the previous fall, then-President Donald Trump condemned CRT as “toxic propaganda” and “ideological poison.”

The caller then told Lewis that a group of people in a wealthy neighborhood in the northern part of the county were upset about what they believed were her intentions to bring CRT to Cherokee County. But don’t worry, the district official said; we just want to keep you updated.

The following month, inside a gabled white clubhouse overlooking the hills of a Cherokee County golf course, dozens of parents from across the county had assembled on a Sunday afternoon for a lesson in an emerging form of warfare. School board meetings would be their battlefield. Their enemy was CRT.

One of several presenters at the meeting was Rhonda Thomas, a frequent guest on conservative podcasts and the founder of the Atlanta-based Truth in Education, a national nonprofit that aims to educate parents and teachers about “radical ideologies being taught in schools.” “So what is critical race theory?” Thomas asked the crowd. “It teaches kids that whites are inherently racist and oppressive, perhaps unconsciously,” and that “all whites are responsible for all historical actions” and “should feel guilty.”

She added: “I cannot be asked for repentance for something my grandparents did or my ancestors did, right?”

Thomas stressed that parents should form their own nonprofit groups and cut ties with their schools’ Parent Teacher Associations. “The PTA supports everything we’re against,” she told them.

Another presenter, a local paralegal named Noelle Kahaian, leads the nonprofit Protect Student Health Georgia, which aims to “educate on harmful indoctrination” including “comprehensive sexuality education” and “gender ideology.”
“It’s good in case Tucker Carlson wants to put you on air,” Kahaian said. “It really helps.”

Presenter Noelle Kahaian talks to the crowd about the “tsunami strategy.”

She then briefed them on how to file grievances about school board members’ teaching licenses and on their right to request school board members’ cellphone records.

And she advised them on the benefit of collaborating with “outside forces” to file open records requests to school systems for employee emails and curriculum plans that could provide evidence of inappropriate material being taught in classrooms. Doing so would allow those outsiders to “take some of the heat.”

But there was one agenda item that would inspire the crowd to take more urgent action than any other: They had to figure out what to do about the Cherokee County School District’s decision to hire a woman named Cecelia Lewis.

She added: “I cannot be asked for repentance for something my grandparents did or my ancestors did, right?”
... is still the central falsehood of these anti-CRT karens and confederate men like Glennfs.

Also why it's really important to these cons to make sure and never read any actual CRT, because this characterization has nothing whatsoever to do with actual CRT.

Conservative whites are acting like this because the GOP/RNC is an ajbect failure and is in ruins after they let Donald Trump run roughshod over it. They have no policies, they can't govern except through corrupt cops and violent vigilantism, and it's always been this way among these people.

They do a version of this white-supremacism-defending-itself in every decade, in every generation. It's the best they've got.

Conservative cultures are the original cancel culture.

Smithtown Library Board bans LGBTQ+ materials from children’s sections - Greater Smithtown
The Smithtown Library Board of Trustees has issued a resolution demanding the removal of all LGBTQ+ Pride materials from the children’s departments across all four of the library district’s buildings.

On Tuesday, in the heart of Pride Month, library director Robert Lusak issued a memo to library building heads regarding the board’s resolution.

“At tonight’s meeting, the Board of Trustees passed the following resolution: motion to remove all Pride displays, in addition to removing all books of the same subject on display from all children’s sections in all Smithtown Library buildings,” the memo reads. “Accordingly please remove all Pride display from all of our Children’s Rooms. Please share with the appropriate staff.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and the New York Library Association were among those to quickly condemn the board’s action.

Hochul tweeted, ”For many LGBTQ+ kids, libraries are one of the few spaces where they can be welcomed and affirmed for who they are.

“Our public spaces should be accepting our young people — not rejecting them,” Hochul continued. ”To LGBTQ+ New Yorkers: We stand with you, we support you, & you are welcome here.”
Long Island is longstanding KKKtown, as it is. White conservatism is destroying this country.

Some teachers alarmed by Florida civics training approach on religion, slavery
Among other topics, trainers told civics teachers the nation’s founders did not desire a strict separation between church and state.

Several South Florida high school educators are alarmed that a new state civics initiative designed to prepare students to be “virtuous citizens” is infused with a Christian and conservative ideology after a three-day training session in Broward County last week.

[snip]

“It was very skewed,” said Barbara Segal, a 12th-grade government teacher at Fort Lauderdale High School. “There was a very strong Christian fundamentalist way toward analyzing different quotes and different documents. That was concerning.”

[snip]

Those dynamics came into full view last week, when trainers told Broward teachers the nation’s founders did not desire a strict separation of state and church, downplayed the role the colonies and later the United States had in the history of slavery in America, and pushed a judicial theory, favored by legal conservatives like DeSantis, that requires people to interpret the Constitution as the framers intended it, not as a living, evolving document, according to three educators who attended the training.

[snip]

Another slide highlights three U.S. Supreme Court cases to show when the “Founders’ original intent began to change.” That included the 1962 landmark case that found school-sponsored prayer violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment, which Judd said trainers viewed as unjust. At one point, the trainers equated it to the 1892 U.S. Supreme Court decision that upheld the constitutionality of racial segregation under the “separate but equal” doctrine.

“Ending school prayer was compared to upholding segregation,” Judd said. In other words, he said, trainers called both those rulings unjust.

[snip]

It also provides a snapshot of how national groups, including Hillsdale College, a politically influential private Christian college in southern Michigan, are working with the DeSantis administration to reshape education in the state. The goal is to put a greater emphasis on civics than on socially divisive issues such as race and gender identity, which DeSantis has said is an effort to reorient teaching away from “indoctrination and back towards education.” But to several educators who went through the state’s training, it felt like a broader effort to impose a conservative view on historical events.

“We are constantly under attack, and there is this false narrative that we’re indoctrinating children, but that is nothing compared to what the state just threw in new civic educators’ faces. That’s straight-up indoctrination,” said Segal, a 46-year-old teacher with 19 years of experience.

The Florida Department of Education is leading the workshops, which were developed with the help of Hillsdale College and other groups. The Bill of Rights Institute, founded by Charles Koch in 1999, is one of those groups. The state aims to train about 2,500 teachers in 10 sessions across the state. The three-day sessions are voluntary, but teachers get a $700 stipend and the possibility of a $3,000 bonus as an incentive to attend.

[snip]

Several presentation slides emphasized that it was a “misconception” that the “Founders desired strict separation of church and state and the Founders only wanted to protect Freedom of worship.” During breakout sessions, the state’s presenters repeatedly mentioned the influence Jesus Christ and the Bible had on the country’s foundation.

“There was this Christian nationalism philosophy that was just baked into everything that was there,” Judd said.

Not one word about Deism on the influence of many of our Founders?
Claiming - without any supporting evidence - they all wanted legislation to end slavery despite most being slaveowners?
Letting HILLSDALE COLLEGE write the state curriculum focus for the state of Florida?

What a pantload of bullcrap. DePutin is trying to turn FL educators into indoctrinators.

Conservatives are groomers. Just look at the state of their own f'ed up families.

Even though it was the same forces of segregationism decrying the end of school prayer led by school officials. :? Okay.

One can read right in the KKK newspapers from 100 years ago that government-forced Protestantism in the public schools was a major goal of theirs.

More like groomers for government-forced, whites-rule Christian Nationalism.
