TX GOP calls homosexuality "abnormal lifestyle choice"

Post by gounion »

Glenn, Joe and greengrass all say they support gay rights. But none of them will stand up against this.

The Texas GOP has went completely off the edge. We could have a hundred threads on their craziness.

Our conservatives would have you think that conservatives don't have anything against gays, that the Florida "don't say gay" law doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. But Texas comes right out and says it.
143. Homosexuality: Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice. We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin, and we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values. No one should be granted special legal status based on their LGBTQ+ identification
The also go after trans, of course. Here's some of the things that were handed out at the convention:

Saw this. viewtopic.php?p=28401#p28401

This is how stupid these cons think we are, that we've never seen this before, even as they've NEVER let up.

True to form, the aggressors play victim while casting those they seek to oppress as their oppressors.

This is right out of the BOAN playbook, the witchhunting playbook, and the Inquisition playbook.

The GOP, TX GOP, Charlottesville, book banners, gaybashers, anti-trans lawmakers, and the rest of white conservatism is the abnormal lifestyle choice. These men choose to live this way. They do not have to live this way.

As I said on Twitter, being a Republican is an abnormal lifestyle choice.

The Texas GOP is definitely to far to the right and out of touch with the country.

That is not hard to see or admit. As for abandoning the GOP based on the Texas state party.
I believe I will do just that as soon as GoU and others admit that California is to far to the left, out of touch with the country and abandons the democratic party because of the California state party

This is the true GOP. This is what they’re really for. No one on the right is calling them out, because they support this, and so do you.

:?

No one anywhere suggested doing this and why would the average Republican conservative bigot abandon either?

They're the same.

Stay over there where you belong, and please don't ever vote D. We already had WSs and WNs dragging this party through the sewer of white conservatism.

Glad Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, you, and the rest of the wedge issue commiebaters left after we took segregation away from you.

There's no difference between the DeFascist agenda and the Texas GOP agenda.

Especially not when it comes to anti-LGBTQ extremism.

He imitates everything they do, while you aspire to be a DeSantis voter.

You are a political knee on the neck.

The only thing "most Democrats" need from DeSantis-voting extremists is to protect ourselves from you.

Let’s be clear - the Texas party is the largest state Republican Party in America, and they speak for a huge swath of the GOP. So you say the GOP is out of touch with America?

White conservatism is an abnormal lifestyle choice.

Texas Republicans prefer Ron DeSantis to their own Governor: 2024 Poll - Florida Politics
If Trump doesn't run, Texans want DeSantis.

In the latest sign of his national traction, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was the runaway winner of a head-to-head poll against Texas’ Governor … in the state of Texas.

The poll, conducted by CWS Research between Feb. 5 and Feb. 7, includes the helpful headline “DeSantis crushes Greg Abbott with Texas Primary voters.”

In response to the question of who these Republicans would choose in the 2024 Republican presidential Primary if former President Donald Trump does not run, GOP voters in the Lone Star State chose DeSantis over Abbott, 46% to 13%.

The survey found 23% of respondents weren’t sure who they would choose, while 18% would prefer another candidate.

The polling is the latest illustration of a trend in surveys showing DeSantis is firmly established as the party’s leading alternative to former President Trump in the 2024 GOP nomination race.

Sure, and the KKK needed protection from African-American voters, too. There was even a whole movie about it!

You are this country's historic aggressors, race-based mass murderers, vote-suppressors, redliners, blockbusters, eugenicists, and lynchmobbing ethnic cleansers.

Four women in Congress need protection from not just you personally but the Texas GOP, and the Jan. 6 criminals of the GOP, just as this entire country does.

 didn't you just say all you brutes somehow need "protection" from four women?

White conservative policies and laws are designed to victmize those different from yourselves, including other whites.

Because you guys are dyed-in-the-wool supremacists, you don't even see your pro-rapist antiabortion laws, forced cisgenderism and heterosexuality, government-forced childbearning, or a whole slew of white nationalist politicians stinking up your party as victimizing others, either.

It stands to reason. You guys are the same people who thought it was your right to force everyone else into second-class citizenship and worse things like slavery, wholesale stripping of citizenship like you guys did to Asian Americans; and straight up genocide.

Those things did not victimize the targets, either, since doing these things to others is free dumb for conservative whites. In fact, the rationale was that you HAD to do these things to protect yourselves.

So, you fit well in the GOP. The Texas GOP is not "to far left" for the average, run-of-the-mill white conservative bigot.

You can tell by the staggering sound of pins dropping around either the Texas GOP platform, or what's left of the GOP one. So cry me a river about the existence of four women in the Squad. :problem:
