Oh, look. Apartheid Boy approves.

Elon Musk suggests he may vote for Republican Ron DeSantis in 2024 - Guardian
Musk claimed to back the successful Republican congressional candidate Mayra Flores during a special election in Texas on Tuesday.

“I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk said.

“I assume republican for president 2?” an account called Tesla Owners Silicon Valley asked.

Musk replied, “tbd,” prompting the follow-up: “What are you leaning towards?”

“DeSantis,” Musk said.
DeSantis has been ramping up his efforts to position himself as a true conservative. He has signed into law legislation that strips Black voters’ power through gerrymandering congressional districts to benefit Republicans, for example. DeSantis also curtailed the discussion of race and diversity in schools and businesses. He has also signed off on bills that ban discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation in some Florida classrooms with his “Don’t Say Gay” legislation.

His attack on what he called “wokeism” has come to include bans on math textbooks that supposedly include “prohibited” subjects, such as critical race theory. He has also tried banning medical care for transgender youths and engaged in a sparring match with Disney.

Disney publicly opposed DeSantis’s attack on LBGTQ+ rights. DeSantis’s dogged rhetoric on social issues has built a strong brand, with political science professor Michael Binder previously telling the Guardian: “He’s nicknamed Governor Grievance.”
White-conservative bigots seek to vote for white-conservative bigot.

This is an ongoing story. We already discussed that idiot Betsy DeVos's contributions to this dirty fascist, which Glennfs weakly attempted to downplay and dismiss.

DeSantis draws huge cash haul from Trump donors - Politico
A DeSantis-aligned political committee, Friends of Ron DeSantis, has received $3.4 million this election cycle from 10 donors who collectively spent $24 million on Trump’s reelection bid. Most of the high-dollar donors had never given contributions in state-level Florida elections, while those who have previously provided funds have significantly increased their spending for DeSantis during the 2022 midterms.

Though many donors are focused on November, when the governor is up for reelection, DeSantis’ fundraising signals that he is both a viable 2024 candidate who may not need the former president’s backing and one who is sapping some financial support from Trump.

“I think Ron’s fundraising really speaks for itself,” said Francis Rooney, a former construction company owner, longtime Republican donor and former Florida congressman who was open to impeaching Trump in 2019. “It is possible Trump’s percentage of the Republicans keeps going down and I think it’s possible people will start looking elsewhere.”

DeSantis has already raised more than $100 million — a record setting pace for a single election cycle in Florida — and is an overwhelming favorite to win reelection this year, a victory that could leave him with a huge war chest as the 2024 election cycle begins.
This white-sheet/pointy-hat isn't even running, yet; nobody is. Yet, conservative dunces on this website are salivating for him to smash the queers and the Blacks for them.,while the most vicious cutthroats in this country line up to throw their munny at him.

Just to establish the, uh, consanguinity of the Texas GOP platform and De Putin's actions ...

https://www.texastribune.org/2022/06/18 ... y-preborn/

One policy proposal called on state lawmakers to prohibit the “teaching, exposure, and/or discussion of sexual matters (mechanics, feelings, orientation or ‘gender identity’ issues),” as well as remove related books or materials from schools.

[snip]

Many delegates at the convention argued that young children don’t need to learn about issues of gender and sexuality, including conversations and lessons about people who are transgender. Those delegates said Saturday they prefer such conversations happen at home. Under Texas law, parents currently must provide written consent for their children to attend sex education classes, which are required to emphasize abstinence.

[snip][end]

Is this extreme and out of the mainstream only in Texas, or is that also true in Florida, he asks, with full rhetorical intent?

I believe I will do just that as soon as GoU and others admit that California is to far to the left, out of touch with the country and abandons the democratic party because of the California state party
Curious. What about California makes it too far left?

California is not “far left.” Ridiculous. California also has one of the largest economies in the world, so they’re doing something right.

The entire Republican Party model is now based on Texas, however.

Republicans constantly try to to create both sides fabrications. Ever notice?

GOP senator considering blocking school meal funding deal over transgender policy fight - Politico

:?
The Senate is attempting to expedite a vote on the school meals funding extension, but several Republicans are threatening to block it before the June 30 expiration.

A Republican senator is thinking about blowing up a bipartisan deal to extend school meals funding because of a Biden administration policy banning discrimination against LGBTQ students who participate in lunch programs that receive the money.

Democratic leaders are rushing to pass the legislation and get it to President Joe Biden’s desk before current funding runs out June 30, triggering a hunger cliff for millions of children. Senate Republican leaders, who blocked previous attempts at a year-long extension of the funds, haven’t made any threats to tank the bill this time around, according to three people involved in the talks. But any one senator can object and block the expedited effort, requiring a recorded floor vote and eating up precious time.

After the $3 billion deal to extend the pandemic-era program was unveiled Tuesday, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) said in an interview he is “contemplating” objecting to the measure because of new guidance from the Agriculture Department banning LGBTQ discrimination in any program that receives federal nutrition money, which includes most school lunch programs.

Marshall was among a handful of Senate Republicans who sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office last week objecting to the USDA nutrition guidance, which has also prompted a backlash from conservative media and key national Republicans. Likely 2024 presidential contender and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis argued the Biden administration was “trying to deny school lunch programs for states that don’t do transgender ideology in the schools.”

Republicans are particularly concerned with language in the USDA guidance that says programs that receive federal nutrition money need to state their policies for combating anti-LGBTQ discrimination.

Marshall said in the interview he had not decided about whether to go through with the objection. But he claimed the administration was trying “to use the school lunch issue to gain leverage over [schools’ broader LGBTQ policies].”

EVERY con on this board would risk speeding tix to get to the polls to vote for this Senator. I bet lots of money on that.

I WISH we were not headed to where we are headed, but we absolutely are. Maybe the new Covid variants along with Monkeypox will kill us first though, since so many TRUMPERS and board cons opposed common sense mask wearing, etc.

ALT-RIGHT COLORADANS WENT TO WAR WITH AN ALPACA FARM — AND THE FARM WON
For nearly nine months, Tenacious Unicorn Ranch, a safe haven for trans and queer Coloradans, faced violent threats from right-wing extremists. Until, that is, they turned to their local anarchists for help.

First came the death threats on Facebook, with a stream of anonymous voices threatening to burn down the ranch and take all the guns. Then came the tails — unfamiliar trucks following them, usually for miles at a time, all the way home.
But the final straw came the evening of March 5th, when two groups of men quietly traversed the quarter-mile dirt road to the front gate of the ranch. One pair were caught by the night guard around midnight, fiddling with the light and lock on the gate. Several hours later, two more people clambered across a field, flanking toward the main house. “Our guy James [a pseudonym] spotted them. He hit them with a spotlight, and told them, ‘Remove yourselves, or die.’ And they ran like jackrabbits. I credit him for potentially saving our lives that night,” Penny Logue tells me. “It was a literal wake-up call.”
This is the ONLY thing cons including those on this board understand. Which is what I have been hoping people would prepare for.

This is your party, Glenn. You say they're out of touch with America, but they're the mainstream of the GOP.

And there's NOTHING they can do that will stop you from voting for them. There's NOTHING they can do to gays that you won't support. That goes for the other two conservatives on this board.

So you can stop pretending that you support gay rights.

White conservative policies and laws are designed to victmize those different from yourselves, including other whites.

Because you guys are dyed-in-the-wool supremacists, you don't even see your pro-rapist antiabortion laws, forced cisgenderism and heterosexuality, government-forced childbearning, or a whole slew of white nationalist politicians stinking up your party as victimizing others, either.

It stands to reason. You guys are the same people who thought it was your right to force everyone else into second-class citizenship and worse things like slavery, wholesale stripping of citizenship like you guys did to Asian Americans; and straight up genocide.

Those things did not victimize the targets, either, since doing these things to others is free dumb for conservative whites. In fact, the rationale was that you HAD to do these things to protect yourselves.

So, you fit well in the GOP. The Texas GOP is not "to far left" for the average, run-of-the-mill white conservative bigot.

You can tell by the staggering sound of pins dropping around either the Texas GOP platform, or what's left of the GOP one. So cry me a river about the existence of four women in the Squad. :problem:

You don't know what the definition of the "victim card" is, do you? I just asked how you know what I believe. You seem to be able to see what everyone thinks, no matter what the actual proof of their views are. You say that all liberals would ban all guns if they could, for instance, even though there's lots of proof to the contrary.
