That when a Democrat says something racist they are mispeaking but no Republican ever mispeaks.
You would be hard pressed to find a Republican who has said more racist things than Biden.
Beginning with how placing African American students in his kids school would turn those schools into jungles

He said that in 1977. It is not a secret he was an opponent of school busing and school desegregation in the 70s. It's well known.

However, the quote is not usually given accurately.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/fac ... 045749002/

Based on our research, the post is PARTLY FALSE. It contains two claims, one true and one false. It's true that Biden said mandatory busing to integrate schools would lead to his children growing up in a "racial jungle." It's false that he said, "I don't want my children to grow up in a jungle, a racial jungle."

[snip][end]

I'm not defending the version of the remark he DID give. Thing is, I do find it kinda weird when the same folks who get upset over bringing up what Republicans said 45 years ago also think it's appropriate to hang on the words of Democrats used that long ago.

I don't have to go back to 1977 to find offensive, racist GOP comments. Steve King said this in 2016, 6 years ago.

[source: BI]
During the 2016 Republican National Convention, King claimed that nonwhite peoples have not contributed to civilization as much as whites. "I would ask you to go back through history and figure out where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people you are talking about. Where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?” King said.

[snip]

King has fought back against his critics who call him a white nationalist — by suggesting the term is not that offensive. Earlier this year, he told the New York Times: “White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive? Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?”
[end]

That was 2017; Steve King asking why ... it's wrong to identify as a white nationalist or supremacist.

TBH: I of course don't find "Western civilization" offensive :D ... I do find the claim that non-Western or non-white civilizations have not existed or not contributed to global human civilization ridiculous, of course.

Like the Maya for example, who developed a calendrical system that was more accurate than what Europeans were using at the time (the Julian calendar).
"Don't believe every quote attributed to people on the Internet" -- Abraham Lincoln :D

Because Biden said something in 1977 - forty-some years ago - it's fine for the GOP to let their racist flag fly today. Got it.

This entire country is founded on the white-racist conservatism, which is why conservative whites ran screaming from the Ds to the Rs, which has more neonazis and confederates like you than you can shake a stick at. Don’t kid yourself that white conservatism is either a D or R problem. It’s both and beyond just the two major parties.

Too bad for you, this is all you’ve got on Joe.

Conservative whites think we’re all supposed to just roll over and accept their anti-Black, anti-minority politics, whatever party it shows up in.

It’s part of their delusions of supremacy.

And sadly this is why they all own guns and all will commit violence.

I have a thread about contacting local police to ask them what will they do when, not if, white supremacist cons show up to attack healthcare facilities who treat Women, in blue states. Since they will proclaim abortion is now murder, surely we expect them to act out like the children they are.

And what will they do to stop the angry 20- 30 million young folks, first time voters who will now vote?
I sigh in your general direction.

Cons like glennfs consider us just merely existing to be an existential threat.

That way, they can rationalize murder and mass discrimination

Most people do not want abortion outlawed but also want limitations.
Source?
So people who think they will get it banned thru national legislation are just as unrealistic as those who think they will pass abortion rights without limitations.
This is a canard, and thus a false dilemma.

Who is trying to "pass abortion rights without limitations"?

If the community objects and the school board can’t sell it to them or explain it to them, then those parents can put up candidates for the school board that share their philosophy for education or as you say, they can pursue other educational alternatives. However, if the school board decides against what some teachers favor, then I guess those teachers or administrators have decisions to make as well. They can go elsewhere. Public schools are accountable to the public and elections do have consequences.

I’m not advocating for such nuclear options. I’m glad that more parents are actively involved in education.
