NRCC poll shows GOP in the lead over Democrats to retake House
House Republicans’ campaign arm released new polling Tuesday showing the party is in a strong position to retake the lower chamber as the 2022 midterm elections heat up.
According to a new poll released Tuesday by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), the GOP has a 43 percent to 40 percent lead over Democrats with registered voters in the generic ballot across 85 potential battleground districts. Those results mark an improvement from the same poll conducted in February, April and July that had Democrats at 44 percent with voters.

DONALD TRUMP JR., SENTIENT POND SCUM, IS SELLING T-SHIRTS MOCKING THE FATAL ALEC BALDWIN SHOOTING
Last week, a horrifying tragedy occurred on the set of an Alec Baldwin movie in which the actor, reportedly told that a prop firearm he’d been handed did not contain any live rounds, accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza. In his first public statement following the incident, Baldwin tweeted, “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours,” adding that he is “fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred” and “in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.” If there’s a normal way to respond to such an awful, inexplicable event, this is it. Know what isn’t? Selling merchandise mocking an episode in which a real person lost her life. Anyone choosing to do such a thing would obviously be a huge psychopath, more than likely raised by a huge psychopath—which is why, surprise: Donald Trump Jr. is currently hawking T-shirts making light of the tragedy.
Insider reports that the ex-president’s son and namesake, who’s been gunning to succeed his father as the biggest asshole on Twitter, is offering shirts on his website that read, “Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people.” Obviously we will not be linking to such crap, but if you’re as terrible a person as Don Jr. and want to walk around in public with this “joke” on your body, you can choose to sport it in black, navy, heather gray, or military green, and it’ll set you back $27.99.

Of course, I knew you would run to that.
You mean the one where Cheney was drinking and shooting, and then made sure he had sobered up before he surrendered to the authorities?
I do see a difference.

Hilarious then in poor taste now.
If the police had been on the scene and proved his inebriation, what sentence do you think he should have gotten?
Re: The GOP Snowflake Thread
Today is the first I've heard he was drinking let alone shitfaced.
So you are saying he got away with it.

Did that guy who was shot in the face die? Was Dick Cheney responsible?
Why are you defending Donald Trump Junior selling disgusting T shirts about a tragedy? Someone died.

I'm sorry, you're not that forgetful. Or do you just deceive yourself? Reality check:
The shooting happened on a Saturday afternoon. They didn't make Cheney available to speak to the police until Sunday morning.Vice-President Dick Cheney faced fresh questions yesterday about the shooting of his hunting companion on a Texas ranch, with the release of conflicting witness statements about whether alcohol had been consumed.
The statements released by the local sheriff's office broadly confirm the circumstances under which Mr Cheney, wheeling about to shoot a covey of quail on February 11, sprayed Texas lawyer Harry Whittington with birdshot, wounding him in the face, chest and torso.
But statements from Mr Cheney's host and other companions gave conflicting accounts about whether alcohol had been consumed amid accusations that the hunters had broken Texas laws on drinking and hunting.
The ranch owner, Katharine Armstrong, said: "To the best of my knowledge there was no alcohol involved." Her sister, Sarita Armstrong Nixon, said she was unaware the hunting party had had any alcohol.
Pamela Willeford, the US ambassador to Switzerland, who was directly beside Mr Cheney when Mr Whittington was shot, said she had a glass of wine at lunch, but no alcohol was consumed in the field.
Mr Cheney said he had had a beer at lunch. Mr Whittington has yet to file his account. The statements were submitted to the sheriff's office on February 15.
How conveeeenient!

Hey, I support the party that when we are subpoenaed we show up and testify for 13 hours, prove we did NOTHING WHATSOEVER wrong
and our friend here supports the party that says you can tell Congress to fuck off, if you are a republican.
Again and for the umpteenth time:
"where left and right disagree, the right is never right and I can prove it"
And you should see the new Texas districting map...it alone should start a civil war. It alone proves the GOP hates democracy. FUCKERS

Love of Country is not Blind Patriotism. It is not devotion to one person or one party. It is knowing fighting for your country is single most important thing you can do. Do not accept the notion violence is the answer.

Cotton tells Garland: 'Thank God you're not on the Supreme Court'
Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday clashed with Republican senators over the Justice Department's efforts to crack down on violent threats against school boards, with one GOP member telling the former judge, "Thank God you're not on the Supreme Court."
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) made the remark during a heated exchange in which the senator tried to tie the Justice Department's new school board policy to an incident in Loudoun County, Va., where a teenager was accused of sexually assaulting a fellow student in a school bathroom.

So you are lying about Cheney being drunk and pretty much lying about him drinking. According to your link he had a beer at lunch. Another example of lying and telling the truth at the same time. As you equate having a beer at lunch with drinking.gounion wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 6:13 pm I'm sorry, you're not that forgetful. Or do you just deceive yourself? Reality check:

Here's the thing: We won't KNOW because they made sure it was the next day and he was about to sleep it off before being talked to. Which, to me, says that it's likely that he WAS drunk and they covered it up. Or else they would have made him available for an investigation immediately.
Of course, you've NEVER heard of anyone getting drunk and shooting guns or hunting, have you?

You said he had been drinking which is a lie. By saying he had been drinking you were inferring he had more than a beer at lunch
You were out and out and deliberately misrepresenting the facts which is lying
You can deny it all day long but we all know you were lying.

I searched all over and could find nothing that said he was drunk. The best you could come up with is he had a beer with lunch
After lecturing Memphis I believe you are going to need more rocks.
Also Cheney's heart condition would prevent him from being able to get drunk and survive. In my opinion based on my dad having the same condition

Sorry, we do know Cheney was a drinker. There was a coverup. That tells me that they were doing things that they didn't want to come out, so they didn't make him available until the next day when he'd slept it off.Glennfs wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 3:53 pm I searched all over and could find nothing that said he was drunk.
