Musk and Donald Trump and the rest of these American conservative fascists who got their asses banned from Twitter, Twitter did that because they're bad for business.

If they come back, it's Twitter that will take the nosedive.

Look at this stupid, stupid bigot.

Elon Musk already broke his agreement with Twitter - Quartz
When Twitter agreed to sell itself to Elon Musk for $44 billion on April 25, the two parties agreed to specific terms of the merger, signed a document, and filed it to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Musk doesn’t yet own Twitter, and he won’t for many more months, but he is now locked into a contract with the social network’s current management, and there’s a $1 billion penalty at stake if he pulls out. The two sides also agreed to certain rules of behavior for the period before the deal closes. And one day after that agreement was reached, Musk already broke the rules.

What rule did Musk break?

Musk’s agreement with Twitter allows him to tweet about the merger “so long as such Tweets do not disparage [Twitter] or any of its Representatives.”

After Politico reported that Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s top lawyer and head of trust and safety, had cried in an internal meeting following news of the acquisition, conservative journalist Saagar Enjeti tweeted a screenshot of the article alongside the message: “Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the @elonmusk takeover.”

Gadde’s team, which is in charge of content moderation decisions at Twitter, briefly blocked a link to an October New York Post article about a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, son of soon-to-be-US president Joe Biden. It also temporarily locked the Post’s account. The laptop was eventually confirmed to be Biden’s, and then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey apologized, saying Twitter made a mistake.

On Tuesday, Musk jumped into the fray, in essence agreeing with Enjeti’s critique of Gadde. “Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” he tweeted.

Just hours later, Musk replied to a tweet by right-wing conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich alleging that Twitter lawyer Jim Baker, a former FBI general counsel, “facilitated fraud.”

“Sounds pretty bad …” Musk replied.
Cernovich is the creep that started Pizzagate, and here's Apartheid Boy playing footsie with him and crying hunter biden's laptop.

You'll fall for anything, because you stand for nothing. :problem:

New options for removing your personally identifiable information from Search

Privacy and online safety go hand in hand. And when you’re using the internet, it’s important to have control over how your sensitive, personally identifiable information can be found.

On Google Search, we already have a set of policies that allow people to request the removal of certain content from Search, with a focus on highly personal content that, if public, can cause direct harm to people. But the internet is always evolving – with information popping up in unexpected places and being used in new ways — so our policies and protections need to evolve, too.

Musk told banks he will rein in Twitter pay, make money from tweets, sources say - Reuters
Musk told the banks he also plans to develop features to grow business revenue, including new ways to make money out of tweets that contain important information or go viral, the sources said.

Ideas he brought up included charging a fee when a third-party website wants to quote or embed a tweet from verified individuals or organizations.

In a tweet earlier this month he subsequently deleted, Musk suggested a raft of changes to the social media giant's Twitter Blue premium subscription service, including slashing its price, banning advertising and giving an option to pay in the cryptocurrency dogecoin. Twitter's premium Blue service now costs $2.99 a month.

In another tweet he deleted, Musk said he wants to reduce Twitter's dependence on advertising for much of its revenue.
Only goes to show how stupid this guy is, who has been handed every unearned opportunity afforded a child of Apartheid.

And also how stupid banks are.

Are ANY of these people even ON Twitter?

Wow, Elon, I don't know if you get this, but the GQP, Trumpists, ivermectin chuggers and other snake oil promoters, and the people attending WN-Holocaust denial conferences and supporting Putin are over in the other guys' party.

Elon Musk does not care about extremists, because he is one.

If he has any real convictions at all, as far as I can tell from his rather brutish rantings, they tend toward kleptocracy and rule by the best self-promoters. He'll favor leaders that are most likely to leave him alone to change the world to one of his liking, and then he'll rule it.

Time to revive the Rofl Awards for Glenn. This is one of his best one-liners in quite a while.

Here's a better question: Why does Musk try to sue anyone who speaks freely in public about him? Usually egomaniacs aren't as thin-skinned, though right now thin-skinned self-infatuated sociopaths seem to be the model humans being held up as examples of the finest that the species can create.

NDOs for Tesla workers, and for anyone else who does business with Musk. His idea of free speech is that freedom is for the elite, and anyone who criticizes him does not belong in same.

Most companies will fire you for disparagement of the product.

You don’t have a right to free speech on the job.

I'm not thinking about the work place itself, which obviously is not a democracy and never will be. There is no expectation of free speech.

I'm thinking of the non-disclosure orders, in which people agree that they will not say a word even after they're done working there and the company has no financial right to their silence. Musk, like Trump, gets these from everyone, up front.

Yep, you can sued for hundreds of thousands. No free speech at all.

But Glenn will say that WE are the ones that don’t want free speech.

We've already seen Musk's idea of free speech on twitter. It's freedom to say anything you want, as long as you don't criticize Musk or his enablers. That's defamation, and you will be hearing from the lawyers.

Progressives are definitely having a cow over Musk and Twitter.
But seem to have no problem with ownership of platforms or news outlets by fellow progressives

Another conservative who doesn’t know what freedom of speech is. What a shock.

Btw, Elon Musk blocks people on Twitter all the time. So while he cries about his idea of free speech on the platform, he’s a snowflake when he doesn’t like what someone has to say to him. But he’s allowed to block anyone, just as the Twitter support team is allowed to act on their TOS.

If you join Trump’s Truth Social, try insulting Trump and see what happens. Same with Lindell’s Frank or Gettr. Those are conservative platforms that have a low threshold for what they call “freedom of speech.”

Now Glenn, how does Musk's idea of free speech differ in principle from that of Henry VIII, who would take offense by sending you to have your head removed from your body?

Oh, actually they do, but they don't get supported by big business advertisers, and you've never heard of them.

Some of the early platforms were started by progressives. RealAudio, the first streaming system back in the really embryonic days, came with a free subscription to Hightower. Etc.

Musk is an attention seeking Twitter Troll. His entire point on the platform is to “pwn the libs,” which is the only thing the GOP stands for.

Neither of them are progressive. Both are conservatives. Bezos works to destroy union rights.
